A perfect replacement. Awesome kit.
I should read the descriptions better, I would have been less surprised to find a 16 GB USB stick pre-loaded with OSX 12 Monterey installation media, including a USB 3 to Lightning/C adapter. And the tools, which worked better than my expensive kit's driver bits.The drive slotted into the spot where the previous drive was. I powered on with the USB attached and was able to format the drive using the Disk Doctor. Installation took 25 minutes and I had a working MacBook Pro. Awesome kit.
