I actually bought this oil for my expensive quilting machine. I was paying $10 for a 1 ounce bottle of this oil at the quilt store. Once I realized the specific name of the oil I needed I searched and found this match, but wow, I did not need a gallon. No problem, my husband was excited, said he can use it on some of his equipment in the garage. A true win!

I was searching for a mineral-based oil for my sewing machines. Juki recommends Defrix #1, in most of its machines. Defrix #1 is #10 ISO Viscosity. Most of the "sewing machine oil", sold on Amazon or other outlets, is #30 ISO Viscosity mineral oil which is too thick for any machine that calls for Defrix #1. Mobil Velocite #6 is "spindle oil", which is mineral oil with a viscosity of #10. Velocite is a few dollars more than a gallon of cheap, "sewing machine oil", and is much cleaner and the perfect viscosity for high-speed sewing machines. If your machine calls for Defrix #2, buy Velocite #10, which has a viscosity grade of #22. Velocite is not toxic mineral oil. It would probably make a great laxative as well as sewing machine oil.

Arrived quickly. Buying spindle oil by the gallon is much cheaper then buying the small kits. This will be enough oil to last me at least 3 years on my Bridgeport.

Not sure what I can say about a jug of oil, but label on jug matches description, so I got what I ordered, and I ordered what I needed, so now I have what I needed!
