After worrying about the noise in the workshop I have finally purchased some ear defenders. For the price they are great and cancel loads of sound. They fit perfectly and I have no issues. 3M. Quality.

These are great ear defenders. I wear them in the morning when I let my very noisy dachshunds outside, first thing. The ear defenders block out the sound of their noisy barking as they dash to the back door, and so protect my hearing.

I bought these for my Autistic son, they are fantastic + so comfortable, I'm going to to get a second pair for myself !

These are perfect and I am so glad I bought themMy other ear defenders seemed to just muffle sounds whereas these actively block the sounds I don’t wish to hearFor example it blocks out my neighbours stomping on their floors above, I no longer can hear my neighbours dog barking and can no longer hear the sounds from the car park underneath my flat but I can hear the tv infront of me on low pretty clearlyMy cheaper ear defenders seemed to just muffle all noises whereas these allow me to filter all that background noise which is what I wanted them to doComfort wise the headband is very comfortable there’s no weight or pressure on top of my headThese also suction onto your ears which I like only slight disadvantage is that wearing them for several hours makes my outer ear mildly sore from it being pressed against something but I also get this from wearing over-ear headphones too and this can easily be solved by adjusting the ear cup position slightlyDefinitely worth the price and would buy again should I need to in the future

I have misophonia and noise can ruin my life and make me really poorly. These ear defenders are fantastic. And SUCH good value. If you wear them combined with earplugs, they block out all but the very loudest of noises. They can be removed from the headband too. I sleep on my side with earplugs in and put one of these on my ear that’s not on the pillow. My shoulder tucked up keeps it firmly in place and it stays on all night. If you wear them with expensive noise cancelling wired earbuds underneath, you can listen to music / tv etc, while these block out any louder noises that is not caught by the earphones. Absolute life savers. I can’t thank you enough.

They really do help with a neighbour noise issue, which is a family of 5 stomping, running, throwing balls at the wall. Coupled with ear plugs it's like you are in another world. without the ear plugs the noise is greatly reduced to an acceptable noise and you can put normal wired headphones on underneath them and once again, it's enough to drown out the low impact noise and screaming and shouting noises. Can't go out with them as it looks like you're an astronaut

I am a tradesman that uses load tools every day. My last cheap defenders finally broke and i found myself with the on start of tinitus. Therefore i needed a good pair to replace them. These are so comfortable and really do block out the sounds from my tools. If any of you use a mutitool then you know how loud they are. With these on i could use it all day without effecting my ears.

I bought the 3M Peltor ear defenders to replace some older folding defenders that had seen better days. There are much cheaper ear defenders available, but there are some things it's best not to economise on, and PPE is one of them.The head band is wide and supportive, the earcups are tight on the ears (as you'd expect) but not crushingly so and I've worn them for extended periods with no problem.For such compact ear defenders they are surprisingly effective, and really deaden the damaging noise from DIY tools, but allow you to hear people talking.I particularly like the hi-viz colouring as it makes them easier to find.The good:• Comfortable to wear• Effective noise attenuation• Hi-vizThe bad:• Not cheapOverall I'm very happy with these, they are good ear defenders: comfortable, compact, and effective.
