I needed to check my cholesterol levels regularly because I don’t want to take drugs to lower it. I was borderline high on all types (except HDL) and need to know what’s working and what’s not, in between doctor visits. But I didn’t have $400 or more for a test meter. I found this one and decided to take a chance and I’m glad I did. It give clear instructions, it’s easy to read, has an English instruction booklet and comes with everything you need to test yourself (except alcohol wipes). Even has a case to keep everything in. Seems well made and sturdy, does not feel cheap in any way. I am very happy with my purchase. If anything changes, I will update my review as I know how difficult it is to obtain reasonably priced devices these days and it was an expensive chance to take making this purchase, but again, I’m so glad I did.

40 uL of blood is too much for me. I can't fill the pipette before my blood coagulates and stops bleeding. If a smaller sample size could be used, I would be happier.

The product is well designed. Once you go over instructions, you can see that the process is simple. For those who struggles collecting sufficient blood amount. I used two rubber bands over my arm for a couple of minutes to increase blood supply - not sure how much safe it is, but was great help for me. Warm your hand with hot water for a few minutes and wipe out quickly. Make sure you keep pipette almost horizontally and the small hole on the pipette's bulb is not covered by holding fingers. The device allows two measurement units, which you can select in settings. However the accuracy was not satisfactory on the specific device I received, comparing to the lab tests.

Seems to be consistent with measurements doctors have done. Easy to use. As with any blood draw, be sure to be hydrated with water prior to drawing blood, so it’s thin enough to get a sufficient sample. I fast 8-9 hours, drink a large glass of water, wait 30 minutes then draw. Haven’t had issues with filling the tube this way.

I like the ease, convenience of doing a lipid test at home. However the results are not accurate. I expect some margin for variation but the most recent results were either too high or too low (and not in a good way) with variations of 40 points in each TC, Tri, LDL and 11 points for HDL. Sorry I got this.

I had initial trouble with device and instructions. Customer support is very good. Device works well.
