Follow the directions, it worked as advertised on my stainless steel parts. Nice dark gray flat finish

I followed all directions, with muriatic acid etching, and distilled water. This will only create a layer of oxidation that wipes off as easily as soot - don't waste your money!

Tried this on several high quality stainless steels, following all the directions. Doesn't work. Maybe if you're using it on cheap stainless steel of low quality it might work but top of the line stainless, this can't even touch it, even at full strength. Guess it's a testament to high quality stainless steel.

The coating wipes off and makes your workpiece smell like pond scum. I don't recommend this product.

I wanted to give my multitool a black coating so I got this, but unfortunately the black coating was uneven and wore off over a day. I followed the directions, but it resulted in pitting and acid damage. It looks unique, but not even close to what I wanted

Haven’t had a chance to use it yet, but if the ingredients are as described, it will work great. Arrived quickly, and the price was great.
