I bought this item specifically to help with menopausal night sweats, in an effort to cool down my memory foam mattress...this fit my my queen hybrid perfectly, not too loose not too tight. I have pillowcases made of similar material, they retain coolness well as does this mattress cover. I haven't spilled anything on my mattress yet (*knocks on wood*) but I expect it to be well-protected. The waterproof side is sturdy and not uncomfortable. It's not noisy: doesn't sound like anything other than a regular sheet, which is nice. I haven't had it too long but I'm hoping it lasts a while for the price I paid. Overall I'm quite satisfied with this purchase.

Bed: 16 inch thick Dreamcloud Premier Rest QN Hybrid MattressSolid choice for a mattress protector. Although a little pricey, it has a quality feel to it.Cooling is noticeable, but not to the level of something like what is on the tempur pedic mattresses. My bed is known as temperature neutral, which felt hot to me. But when using this mattress protector there was noticeable improvement.It fit my mattress a little tight, but works well when in a flat position.My only qualm fitness wise is that it bunches up when used with my adjustable base. But that is commonly with most fitted sheets and mattress protectors.Overall good experience so far.

For my new Temperpedic mattress, I had to protect it with a cooling cover. As expensive as the mattress was, I should have asked for a free cover! Their cover prices were horrible. Thank goodness, I found this one and a review that told me it was "as good." Yes, it is! After having it about two years, and washing it several ties, it is still perfect. I highly recommend it.

I read several reviews that said the pad was too slick and their elasticized sheets wouldn’t stay on. I didn’t believe it. Then, after I bought it and put it on our bed when my wife was discharged from the hospital, the elasticized sheets came off nightly. My wife was trying to get some restful sleep to build up her strength, but with this mattress pad she couldn’t. I finally got fed up and tried to return it but the window had closed two days before I called and the manufacturer didn’t even respond. Thirty days isn’t enough time to determine problems and the manufacturer could’ve made it right by issuing a refund but chose not to. I do not recommend you buy this mattress pad or any other products this manufacturer produces.

I purchased this a few months ago and have enjoyed this mattress protector's comfort and cooling qualities, until the reason I bought it happened. The liquid that was not supposed to penetrate the waterproof barrier most certainly did! I was shocked, however, even thought the box says it's waterproof the tag on the inside does not. I did not catch that when I first washed it or any of the other times, but when I went to verify that it was waterproof, the tag only says cooling and there is nothing to imply that it is waterproof on the tag. I can only assume that since they sell waterproof cooling and cooling only mattress protector's that mine was packaged in the wrong box. I'm not risking it and have purchased a different brand.

They cover really IS cool! Doesn't make noise when you roll or shift at night. Excellent!
