Secret tips on recording songs manual!!!
This is the only book on production of music that also includes how to arrange a song with verses choruses and bridges and starts and stop in a song builds of instruments in a song and something called turnarounds in a song and the proper when to do these thing in a song and a foundation in a song is when the bass and drums play together a tight rhythm together and that there should be only four to 5 different instruments to play together in a song which is called 4 or 5 elements playing at once in a song so the music doesn’t sound mushy together and dynamics is a song means to have loud parts and soft part in a song to sound more interesting to the listener of the song being recorded thes thing could take years for a musician to figure out but it’s all in this book which makes the book valuable!!!

Best books I ever bought on the subject of audio recording
This book is a fantastic read for those in the need for information on producing. It was so good I gave it to my son who is now in college studying to be a music producer. I started reading from this author with the Recording Engineer's Handbook and followed it up with this book. I also bought the Mixing Engineer's Handbook. Great books for home studios to use and for the pro's. The best money I ever spent on books for this topic. He uses simple terms and language to understand.

Great description of what a record producer's function in the recording process
This book and s a very well written guide into the world of music production. I was astonished when about a year ago a young artist referred to a producer as someone who comes up with beats for a Hip-Hop song. I knew better than that. Bobby's down to earth and easy to read approach to writing made the subject matter both understandable and enjoyable. For anyone who truly wants to know what a producer does I highly recommend this book.

A comprehensive and an essential reference for producers and studio musicians alike.
Highly recommended for those seriously interested in a music career. Covers the fundamentals of music production and recording. Covers good exert advice and summaries on editing, mixing and mastering. The book also covers the history and business aspects of production and the role of a good producer. I give it four stars for its expertise on the subject and its comprehensiveness in the content matter. The only critique would be to add a section on technical aspects of audio recording, using DAW's and a chapter on the basics of music theory and song form. Perhaps something reasonably covered and reserved for other volumes. Regardless this is a primary text for a music production course for sure.
