DakotaOdor Bomb Car Odor Eliminator - Ocean Water

This is a miracle. I mean it. I had purchased a previously rental and it smelled fine. That is until I turned on the air conditioning unit and smelled the unmistakable scent of smoke! I hate smoke with a passion and was appalled that my new car was filling with the stench. I purchased this after reading the reviews and after trying several other products over the counter from auto parts stores that did not touch the smoke stench. I used the Dakota Odor Bomb and it kicked the smell right out of my car. I was instantly relieved after just one use of this product, even though it states you may use several cans in succession for tough smells. The first one did the trick for me. I would have thought I needed at least a few of these to make an impact and I stand corrected. This product was so effective that I never did need to run another Odor Bomb through the air system in my vehicle again. I took the advice of another reviewer and did not use this can like a typical bug bomb to make the trigger latch to fill up the whole room. I modified the sprayer latch by cutting off a small plastic tab so I could spray the contents in short bursts. Works great this way, especially around stinky shoes and a above the garage room with only one window. In the car, I put the AC in recirculate mode on high and closed all of the windows. Then I opened one door and sprayed small Dakota Odor Eliminator under the dash, closed the door and let the AC run for a few minutes and then stopped the car and left the everything closed up over night. Made everything smell good!

I purchased this item after several months of smelling the cleaning solvent that was used in my cars interior prior to me purchasing it. This "Ocean Water" fragrance covered the solvent smell and left a fairly pleasant odor. It's been a couple of months and still smells just fine.I would buy it again.

I used it in my car. Kids spilled milk and never told me it spilled in the car. There is a bad rotten smell in the car. After cleaning it I set off this bomb once it arrived, it sat over night , and the smell was still there.

We've used the neutral air version of this product and it was a decent smell. This Ocean Breeze scent is overwhelmingly strong, and smells more like ocean than breeze. The car is still setting outside with the windows down on day two. Oh my! So if you really want to cover up an odor, this one could be the ticket. Otherwise, we recommend the neutral scent.

A nice feature of this product is that you don't have to use the whole can at one time if you don't want to. The nozzle is like a bug-bomb can. The nozzle can be pressed down part way to spray an area by hand, or you can snap the nozzle lock down and set it on the floor for 30 minutes (like a bug-bomb can). It's actually kind of a lot for a car (but the smell is not overpowering), and it can be used for rooms or other large open spaces too.

This thing really is a bomb. It has a very strong odor for almost a week after use. Make sure if you use it in a vehicle that you've taken out everything you don't want smelling like this stuff. It got rid of a musty smell in my car for about 2 weeks but it's back now.Since I have what is likely a flood vehicle I wasn't totally confident this would help much so it looks like I've got to take out the upholstery and clean it all manually.Can't comment on how it works with cigarette smoke or in musty rooms. This Ocean Water scent is more like an overpowering potpourri smell which I did not care for whatsoever. If you use this in a vehicle let the car AC/air run on interior circulation while it's smoking for about 10 mins then turn it off and let it finish. Follow the instructions and let it air out. Trust me, you're going to want to let the car air out for at least 2 - 3 hours outside and not in a garage. This thing is potent. Don't breathe the fumes.Maybe I'll try the extractor and ozone machine in my car. Wish I didn't get scammed on a flood vehicle...

Wary initially that the scent would be overpowering, it is very pleasant. This is an easy and inexpensive solution to smokey and stale odor in a used vehicle. Some excess got on vinyl dash but wiped off easily. Keep the rag under the seat.
