AST/MST Acrylic Sealant Tape 1"x1"x13'

Used to seal around the wall cutout when installing a new over-the-range microwave to vent outside through its rear exhaust. The heavy duty material can be cut and trimmed easily and re-expands to its original size creating a good seal.

Great stuff. Ya know the adhesive is good when it sticks to almost any thing no fuss. The clear strip likes to be removed in a rather straight line, big pulls way out to the side will cause the strip to tear causing some sticky fingers when digging for the end. The roll towards the end is very tight but all of it did expand after a day or two. This was infused with stuff during its manufacture and isn't like a typical air conditioner seal. In cold weather this expansion takes longer or would be better applied un rolled and warmed up first if you needed it poofy right away.Used it to seal the roof ridge on a metal roof. Air must be able to escape but insects and water need to stay out. This product was perfect. Time will tell if keeps the insects out, or if they eat it and decided for some dumb reason they like it. This was considerably cheeper at Home D. but after a month of it being out of stock, I grew weary of checking the store for the one last roll to finish my roof. I'd use this again and would consider it for some other projects. I'd actually like to fill some gaps in the pavement with it and seal the pavement around our building.

Used this on an outdoor media cabinet and on wood. Super sticky and gives me the seal I needed.

I used this to create a weather seal between two large heavy barn doors. It did exactly what I needed. Tape adheres securely; I did no prep. Foam conforms to irregularities in the surface.The only surprise was it took 3 days for the foam to fully expand from being compressed on the roll.

This tape is crazy expensive BUT it actually works. Seals very well and expands fully in only a few minutes. Yup, it's 3X as expensive as the box stores - looks like you get what you pay for.

Appears to do what it's supposed to, started expanding/rising pretty quick and I was able to see how it will fill the ribs/gaps. Wish my roofer had installed it in the first place on the low side of a valley. Had water backing up and getting under the low side roof panel before installing this.

I went to use this product on the roof today but the sticky sealant had already hardened to the clear plastic before using. Basically useless. Find a different brand.
