Works perfect, pricey though. Great as a ‘main’, wouldn’t buy multiples
(REAL REVIEW)I’ve searched through wireless chargers and so many have reviews for what seem like different products even. Wanted to add some realistic feedback.I bought this charger along with the “BESTHINGS” wireless charger. Thought it’s be good to compare a $50+ wireless charger with a cheap $15 one. This is my first time getting into wireless charging and I have to admit, it’s great. It’s one of those things that you don’t realize you want or need until you try it.This Samsung charger feels really well built. The material of the back feels premium. My main concern was that the sliding ‘convertible’ feature would be clunky or cheap feeling. While it isn’t perfect, it feels really solid and not like something that will break over time. I also don’t imagine I’ll be moving it frequently, but the option to have both a pad and an upright charger is great. With an iPhone XS, it’s flawless. Both chargers let me place my phone vertically and within one second, starts charging. No fuss on placement at all.For landscape placement, the cheaper BESTHINGS requires me to move it around slightly and only accepts it moves off center. This Samsung charger has zero fuss. Place and go. Centered works well, and I haven’t had to adjust it a single time to get it to pick up. The range of acceptable placement has yet to not Instantly recognize the phone.Last, this comes with a removable usb-c cable AND a wall adapter. The BESTHINGS came with a cable but no plug. It has two charger wattage/voltage configurations it allows, and neither are common iPhone or Android plugs - but the iPad charger is close enough and works fine. This coming with the charger is awesome even though it’s most likely a $1 part for the manufacturer. All said - I’m really happy with this charger. Zero complaints with functionality, build, features, or what’s inckuded. The downside - this being $50-60 makes it SO much more expensive than others. Is it worth paying the difference? Maybe not. But it’s great having a charger that works perfectly out of the box without needing anything else or being fidgety. I’ll jeep this as my main charger, but would not buy multiples of this whereas the price point of the BESTHINGS charger at $15 makes me feel it’s a HUGE bang for your buck, despite the issues. This is great for your desk, beside your bed, or wherever your ‘main’ charging location is. I’d recommend cheaper options for your secondary spots - not because they’re as good, but because the value is extremely high for cheaper ones with this charger being perfect but pricey.

I recommend replacing with high quality braided cables
So far I have had my note 8 for about a week and works well with it.I have 2 note 8's myself in fact almost my entire extended family just did the upgrade to note 8's. I have a few charging pads strategically placed around my home,1 in my bedroom, 1 at my desk, 1 in the living room and 1 in the kitchen. There is almost always someone with a phone in need if a boost. When charging the note 8 position is critical when placing the note 8 on the charging pad because of its size. Also case choice has an impact in charging. Depending on your case it may not charge in upright position and must be laid flat with the center of the phone aligned with the center of the pad. my Samsung LED flip cases will charge upright but the position must be exact. Thin silicon rubber bumper cases seem to have no effect on charging at all but thicker and bulkier cases do affect charging in upright position and may prevent charging. Very large and bulky cases will not charge properly in upright or flat position. The size thickness and any items stored in wallet and clutch purse cases may prevent charging. If you have difficulties try charging with out a case. It is very IMPORTANT to only use the power adapter that came with the charger!! incorrect and under powered adapters may damage or diminish the life of the charging pad and will not fast charge. Be very cautious of replacement adapters amazon is full of knockoffs and counter fits. All of my authentic Samsumg adapters are imprinted with "made in Vietnam" not China! this is true for the ones that came bundled with devices and purchased separately. Pay close attention there is a difference between the fast charger and the AFC - Adaptive Fast Charger needed for the wireless charger. Care should be taken when selecting cables the ones supplied by Samsung work but are the most durable. I recommend replacing with high quality braided cables. Again take care there a lot of poor quality cables on amazon so be careful. A bad cable may work to a point it may not fast charge and even damage your equipment.

Love the quality, size and flawless operation. I always prefer an OEM product for assurance.
I really wasn't expecting wireless charging to be a big deal. How difficult was it to just plug in a USB-C cable before you went to bed? But wanting to take advantage of all the phones bells and whistles, I opted to buy this and I couldn't be more satisfied with the purchase. The size is perfect, not being too large or occupying too big a footprint. I like the option of using it flat or at a 30 degree angle which is how I use mine. I opted for the kickstand Samsung case and have had no problem with the charging. You do have to make sure you don't just lob it in place when it's upright because you could have a gap that might impede necessary closeness or contact. Using it flat you don't have that concern since gravity is your friend here. It seems to not be quite as fast charging wirelessly as opposed to direct plug in, but if you do it overnight, the extra time is immaterial. It's nice to have on your desk as well since laying flat since you can always keep the phone topped up that way. Though with this phenomenal battery, I haven't experienced any lack of juice for an entire day of active use. Glad they dropped the price. I like to not be an early adopter but wait a month or two after a product comes out because you almost always can enjoy a nice savings. Overall, if you have a Note 9, there are cheaper chargers but I prefer to go with the OEM company with expectations of the best cohesiveness and warranty protection as well. Highly recommended.
