Great camera, great battery, useless fingerprint reader.
This is my second Oppo phone, purchased to replace a Reno4 Pro 5G. In comparison the Find X5 Pro feels much heavier, 226g compared to the Reno's 172g. Personally I prefer that, but that'll be a matter of personal choice.Physically the Find X5 Pro looks pretty in pictures but is completely impractical to keep hold of unless it's in a case as the ceramic material it's made from is super slippery. I've gone for a case from GOGME as it gives the most protection around the camera lenses.I chose the Find X5 Pro as it was reduced by £310 to £739 on a Black Friday deal and I wanted to get the best camera I could within reason. The camera does seem excellent, 50mp for standard and 50mp for wide angle with brilliant low light capabilities. The zoom isn't very good in comparison, being 13mp 2x optical but really only a Samsung S22 Ultra has a half decent zoom lens (for twice the price of the Oppo), and that's still nowhere near as good as a superzoom compact camera. I've got a Nikon A1000 35x optical to cover that requirement. The battery fitted by Oppo has a rated life of 1600 cycles (maintaining 80% of charge) compared to 500 for Apple and Samsung. Only time will tell if that claim is true but with a daily charge that's over 4 years without noticeable degradation. The face recognition seems excellent and the screen is superb as you'd expect from something that launched at well over £1000.The one thing the Find X5 Pro and Reno4 Pro 5G share is an utterly useless fingerprint reader built into the screen. I work in an industry where I use my hands so the top later of skin on my fingers is often damaged. Simply put, the fingerprint reader just doesn't work. With or without screen protector makes no difference.Compared to old Motorolas I've had with the sensor on the back which always worked perfectly regardless of how chewed up my fingers were the Oppos are a huge disappointment. Perhaps for office types who never do manual work the fingerprint reader works OK but not for us manual types.Out of the box the Find X5 Pro had ColorOS 12 (Android 12) installed but within a few hours it had done a couple of upgrades to that, and then and upgrade to ColorOS 13 (Android 13). More evolution than revolution but seems to work fine. There is no perfect phone, the best you can do is wade through the reviews and go for what does what you want the best. For me that's camera performance and I'm not disappointed. Definitely worth considering.

nice looking phone with top specs that's not a Samsung
what can I say top phone fits well in hand as not as wide as the Samsung's and has Snapdragon 8 gen 1 in UK with 5000 mah battery and 250gb of hdd space 12 GB ram and we all need more space just with the size of the apps keep getting bigger that's with out all your other stuff on it and with more phones losing SD card slot which is a shame even for this one but there all doing it now so nothing new I'm normally a Samsung phone fan as I like all the custermizing u can do on them and there solid phones but I didn't like how wide they are in hand I tried a case befor deciding Samsung 22 plus or this one and it was wider and then the battery was bigger on oppo and there was the fact that oppo have Snapdragon 8 gen 1 in UK and Samsung want to give us exynos which we all know is not that good no matter how many times they put it in there phones and I like the fact that it's a bigger battery and 12 GB of ram and 250gb HDD for not much more that a Samsung galaxy s22 plus the camera seems pretty good to me I like to take pictures in day and night and it's seems to hold up good I find not sure it's as quick as a Samsung or can take zoom shoots but the wide angles are good and the colour profile seems good to not to bright like some out there but not alot of camera options which is a shame but it does the job and there phone feels quick with the 120 Hz Refresh rate and proseser in games and other takes and the 5g is fast but this is my first 5g phone but it's quick and the screen is nice could be brighter but it will do not as bright as Samsung even coming from Samsung S10 so I'll give them that and the customising that u can do on them as is limited on oppo phone and the fingerprint reader is not as fast as Samsung just so u know but what do I really need a phone for theses day call texts browse the web and a few games and this does all that so I cant complain to much it's hard for phones to evole theses days what else can they add apart from the SD card slot back would be nice.

Another excellent phone from Oppo
This phone is very well made and feels lovely in the hand due to the ceramic back. The screen is also one of the best currently available with exceptional colours. Excellent battery life and amazingly fast charging and great overall performance form the processor.Oppo's colour OS is very clean operates smoothly and is well featured and the cameras are easy flagship level and the Hasselblad profiles due make good improvements to your photos too.Overall hard to fault for the price especially since you get a case and charger in the box aswell. Very happy with the purchase and after owning 3 Oppos in the past I will always recommend the brand as none have let me done or been a disappointment.

Great Battery life, slow face and finger print recognition
I clbought this phone as an upgrade from Huawei mate 20 light. It is surprising how I felt that few things were still lagging behind a device that Huawei manufacturerd 4 years ago !First Pros:Very good battery life and the Voocsupercharger is amaaaazing. it goes full in like half an hour and lasts you comfortably for a day even though I am a sort of a heavy user. very fast phone obviously as it has big ram and memory.Updated to android 13 and camera is good.Camera is good but the software is basic. Could certainly be better .Cons:The screen is not as responsive as my old Huawei, may be it is because of the screen protector but my Huawei had a screen protector and it was very responsive.i felt like I had to increase the pressure and that was very noticeable to start with.Finger print recognition is not good. Slow and doesn't work on many occasion that I have to keep trying.Facial recognition is not bad but could be better .All in all is a good phone and I think it could be better with some software upgrades .
