These will come in handy for pulling leather tight. Just what I needed.I had to file them smooth, on all edges, other than that thry are good.Dave

Basic tool. Be warned the black part is just some sort of paint, not rubber grips. It is also not spring loaded so these pliers are a bit tough to use. But they are better than nothing and a good starter tool for the amateur chordwainer.

So many applications! sewing, wirework, hammer, do yourself the favor, buy this!

Perfect for leather craft, but also amazing when custom sizing zippers, I’m finding more uses in the sewing room for them.

It’s good product and great quality

These pliers are awful. They are made of a very soft metal - I wouldn't be surprised if they have a high lead content.The pliers are so soft, hammering a nail leaves indents of the nail head in the hammer.Similarly the teeth just disintegrate with use.Every edge of the tool also has sharp edges and burs from the manufacturing process. These will slice up your leather... and your hands. Even the edges of the hammer were sharp and I had to file them off.Finally, the craftsmanship all around is terrible. For instance the hammer itself is lopsided and not flat. This will make a lot more nails bending on you.Do not buy!

Decent value for the price. The construction is mediocre, tolerances are not great in the jaws. Action is smooth, but the teeth don't sit against each other nicely, they just have one point of contact.. the flat portion at the very front of the jaws don't touch and sit maybe a heavy 32nd away from each other, so unless you have at least a half inch of leather in the jaws, it's probably going to slip. Also the very point of the jaws is kind of pointy and not very softly machined, it causes gouges in the leather. The nail puller is okay but the angle of the cut leaves a little bit to be desired. The black handle coating they applied is of poor quality. I don't know if it was sprayed on or dipped but it has big drips at the top and the nail remover slot at the bottom of the handle is also full of the stuff and needed to be chipped out. The finish is chipping and flaking off on the handle. The coating didn't really provide improved grip either so I wrapped them in leather. They work and with a little time with an angle grinder i could probably make them nicer but for the price they will work for now.
