Grays are gone!
This does an amazing job covering grays. I have black hair and more than 50% gray hair so when my roots start to grow out, there is no mistaking it’s time for a touch up.Pros: The scent is much nicer than other non-botanical products. It’s super easy to use and is pretty forgiving if you drip a spot on your skin. It washed off my skin pretty well. The cream is light weight and combs through the hair uniformly. Leaves hair silky and soft with a high shine finish.Cons: it’s a little pricier than over the counter boxed brands, but well worth it. The gloves that come in the box are handy, but a little large for my small hands. I used my own.Overall, this was a great buy and luckily, I’m getting a subscription discount which makes it easy to touch up on the fly without waiting.

Great gray coverage and no harsh chemicals and scents
Love the lack of harsh chemicals and the super moisturizing masque for post coloring that doesn’t have an overpowering scent like other home colors I’ve tried. From what I can tell, the resulting color is in line with what is on the box for light ash blond, but I was covering over a previous color and only had about 1/2 inch of root growth to go by.As others have noted, I’m pleased with the “gray” (or in my case, white) hair coverage.I will buy this again.

Do a strand test!
Do a strand test!!! I’ve been coloring my own hair for over 20 years with very little complaint. I was interested in this brand because of its claims and they offer a color Light Golden Brown that I thought was a great match for my natural color. I followed the instructions to the letter. Now I have light reddish brown roots and BLACK tips! My hair is now so dry and stiff. I’m going to do an extensive conditioning tomorrow, using the conditioner from my old brand. If this doesn’t help, I’ll have to get a color correction or severe cut! I look like one of those Italian ladies with gray and red roots and black ends. Awful!

Good but not 100% gray covered
My hair NEVER felt so hydrated and shiny after a hair dye procedure but it not covered 100% my grays.I left it 40 minutes acting. Also for reference, after read a few comments that it runs darker, I ordered 2 tons lighter than my hair color (my hair is dark, I ordered dark blonde).

Would definitely recommend
I love this hair color, even my stylist compliments it. It doesn’t seem to dry out my hair, the smell isn’t overpowering and it leaves a nice shine.

Not chemical free
I constantly try to find a natural hair color, and based on the reviews decided to try Phyto hair color 7 Blonde. Shade is more of between dark to medium brown depending on the base color and duration of the application. Prior, I used a Herbatint 1 part #5 and 2 parts of #6 or #7, it was coming out as natural medium brown. All henna hair colors tend to turn red if exposed to elements (Sun, ocean water or unfiltered shower water). Phyto color mixture is difficult to apply as it tends to solidify very quickly (maybe it needs a little oil), and as a result I pulled a lot of hair out, smells nice, looks natural, and I did used shampoo right after washing the color off, which did not affect the process. I kept it on for 1 hour, and it still didn’t cover gray hair 100%, the ends of my hair turned into a straw like texture. Not sure if I will use it again to color my hair. Update : since the coloring, my hair were much softer, so decided to order a different shade 6.77 light cappuccino, however, twice received a 5.7 shade instead, and cannot comment on a cappuccino color.

Best gray coverage I have found
I am a 60 year old woman with long hair and have a lot of gray hair from ears to the top mostly underneath so when my hair is down its not that noticeable but if I pull my hair back suddenly I am gray. I have tried all the drugstore coloring that say they are specific to gray coverage. After applying per instructions within a few days the now white hair at my ears would be white again and within a couple of weeks I would see it coming off the rest. The hair that is not gray would maintain the color. I am naturally a dark dirty blonde so I don't go much outside that. Either a light brown or dark blonde like I have done at times throughout my life mostly in winter when I am not outside much. I used this dark golden blonde around the end of July because I was reading forums and reviews online about best gray coverage and this brand came up. This is when I am outside all the time in the sun. I am SO impressed. It's a month and a half later and my grays are still covered except normal root growth. It didn't just wash off like the others. I have psoriasis on my scalp now too and have to do the salicylic acid shampoos when it gets bad that should help strip the color but I haven't noticed it doing that. I did switch back to the pureology hydrating shampoo and conditioner around the same time but I was using Paul Mitchell before that so I don't think my hair products contributed to the other colors failing. The pureology is the only thing that seems to keep post menopausal hair from feeling like straw and helps my scalp. I am a total convert to this hair colorant. Because I use close to my own natural color the grays still holding color really tell me if it is working. The other colors held up on my "original" hair but they just faded almost immediately right off the grays. Then you are stuck because you either have to live with the gray or figure out how to pick out just the gray to constantly touch it up. I just don't want to spend hours in a salon. I did that once getting color and highlights and it was beautiful but sitting there for how long it took drove me crazy. Now I don't have to.
