Works well
They're high quality and professional grade. The blades get hot as do with any shears so if you're not using a guard you should get an extra blade or wait until it cools down. Also you NEED to use the 5 in 1 spray to lube, clean, disinfect and cool the blades.

Works great!
I hate to admit as always and embarrased to say that my Doodle's grooming has gotten neglected! He was matted (medium matts I'd say), and this cut through them like butter. I recommend this for anyone who wants a fresh start with their doodles coat that has gotten out of hand. (10 blade worked well for me!)The cable is very long and durable, so it's easy to place it somewhere, where the cable won't get in your way. The Andis however is slightly larger, so you may have issues doing finer detail work and getting under the arms, etc. Maybe this is me being an amateur.I have used this 1 time so for (total for 1 1/2 to 2 hours) with a few 5-10 min breaks in between to make sure the internal components didn't get too hot. I did oil often, I believe making sure you maintain the oil (if they start getting hot, slowing down, etc.) is a crucial step into making sure these clippers don't burn out.

very good product
The clippers work quite well. The cheap Wahl clipper i bought at a warehouse club works great on my kid's hair, but wasn't up to the task on my dogs.As the product literature & web site says, the blade does get hot. I bought an extra blade to swap them out while i'm cutting. Even with that, after while they don't cool off fast enough.

Dog with Challenging Hair?
Our dog is a mixed breed with Pomeranian and Bichon Frise seeming her most likely heritage. We are new to the necessity of regular hair cutting and this endlessly patient dog seems unfazed by the hilariously bad haircuts that we have given her as we have learned through practice. We justified the expense of the clippers by considering long term savings. They are very quiet and it is very easy to switch the cutting heads. We have tried various cutting heads, but we cannot get the clippers to cut our dog's hair. At first we assumed that our inexperience explained poor results, but after trying all the combing, cleaning, and hair lubrication techniques that have been suggested, we have concluded that while these clippers may work wonderfully on many dogs, they will not effectively cut the very fine hair on our dog. In contrast, the never sharpened Wahl clipper that I bought in a PX more than 40 years ago (which I turned to in desperation) surprised me by working relatively well. I should have tried it first.

Amazing Clipper for Curly Coat Goldendoodle
Upgraded to this clipper after using a cheaper brand while our goldendoodle was a puppy. After his adult coat came in the cheap brand was not going to do the job.I bought this clipper and attempted to use it with a .5 in attachment comb, to obtain the "Puppy Cut" look. I almost thought the clipper didnt work, and almost quit trying to groom the dog myself. Being a stubborn person and not wanting to pay $90 per groom, I bought the blade that cuts .5 in, called 3-3/4 FC ($30), and wow what a difference!!!! The clipper cuts through his hair like a knife through butter. The coat is a very thick and curly coat, like a loose poodle. His hair will mat at under an inch length. This clipper can cut through matted fur on the 1st (lower setting) never needed to resort to the high setting. Consider learning from my mistake and purchase the correct blade for your job to avoid frustration. Also I learned to invest in cooling spray to avoid burning your dog, and use blade oil during the groom, not just before and after.

Best cut my dog has had, use guards!
I groom my dog at home. I burned up a Wahl clipper after 8 years and wanted something more sturdy. The blades do get warm when you use this clipper. I combine this with the Wahl metal clipper guards for detachable blades and the dog stays comfortable. I have a poodle and their coat is not easy to cut. But if there are not mats, you van use the guards and the dog looks great. If you plan on using blades only, you will need multiple blades to change out during the groom. These clippers were far better than anything I have ever used and my dog looked better than she ever has. One word of caution is that these things are heavy. I suppose that means they are heavy duty but I had to adjust.

These clippers are awesome.
My daughter has a husky. After a recent visit to an animal clinic, she found a couple of ticks and fleas on her dog. We have tried in the past to shave parts of her with regular hair clippers. They were just not effective. We wanted to get ahead of any future problems. These clippers cut through her fur like butter. They are relatively quiet, so she did not mind the noise. We shaved her very quickly. She has no nicks and we did not by any of the attachments. We have only used them once, so I hope that they are durable. I would buy them again!
