Q: is the lens cap cover easy to remove? I use the TG mostly for underwater photography where it is in a housing but want to protect the lens on land l

The cap itself is easy to remove. Just press the button on the camera and twist cap off. I recommend getting the Olympus version though. Costs more but worth it because the JJC twist action to open and close the cap is very hard and impossible to open with wet hands.

Q: I can't get it to fit my tg-6. it is too small, or am i doing something wrong?

I have a TG-5 and it fits fine. I think the TG-6 is the same. I had to remove a ring before the lens cover goes on. This lens cover will stay on and it opens and closes when you you rotate it.

Q: If go to a lake and this falls in the water, Will it damage the camera? As in water going in the unit?

The camera is waterproof. The cap is only to protect the lens from getting damaged. I didn't really like this cap and ended up using the original and getting a lens filter to protect the lens. But I'm sure others have their own opinion!

Q: Does this impact the waterproof nature of the camera? I would hate to take it snorkeling to find out that it doesn't...

I don’t think so. However, since the ocean has salt in it, it would be a nightmare to clean the lens cap cover since it has moving parts. Personally, I would just stick with the standard lens ring the camera is packaged with if you are going snorkeling.
