This is how your car is designed. Even with original lights they do not stay on if you hold your door open for 5 min. They automatically turn off. In order to turn back on, you need to close the door wait a few seconds. And it will reset. You are noticing it now because you are paying more attention.

Q: Does it work for a 2012 Charger R/T?

I wouldn’t see why not, as long as as you have the puddle lights on your car.

Q: What is the process to file a warranty complaint? Purchased two sets for front and rear doors. Both have failed.

Send an email or message through Amazon to the company. They will send new ones out quickly. I had the same issue.
