The product work great on wood!
The white part on the edge is paint from the other side. scrap piece of wood that I had. I had sublimated at 385 f for 20 seconds light pressure. I needed more pressure I forgot to change setting. Product was easy to use. The smell to me was no worst than fingernail polish remover. When heated smelled just like other sublimation products. Over all was very happy with the results. I used plain 4x4 wood blanks from Amazon. This is unpainted just has this product on it. People said it dried to quickly and left streaks. I watched another video on air bubbles and fast drying. Put a plastic container over the product and it prevented the wood from dry to fast. I cured in my press with the time and temp recommended. Hope this helps

YOU NEED TO READ THIS BEFORE ORDERING!
I never write reviews, but this time I felt it was necessary as a public service. I was super excited to use this product. It claims to be 100% safe and can turn my dollar tree and walmart mugs into sublimation mugs! This is a game changer! I set up my six mugs and I was going to video this process for youtube and tiktoc. The first thing I noticed was the smell. I'm not even kidding, it's bad. I opened the windows and moved forward. I mixed exactly according to the instructions. I used the enclosed strange brush thing to apply. It was pink and streaky. Why was it pink? Ok, maybe it will dry clear. Nope. I spent a good 45 minutes scrubbing this gunk of all my mugs with sos pads. Maybe, it was user error. I will give it another shot. I picked up the red solo cup I had mixed this "100% safe" product in, and it had eaten right though the cup! Now I know why it was pink. Let me say, I have been a crafter all my life. I work with epoxy resin, and that is know to be pretty bad stuff, but it never ate through the cup! I'm a glutton or punishment, still hopefull for the prospect of making my cheap mugs able to take sublimation. I decided to mix it in a glass container. If it ate though that, I think I would have contacted OSHA! I gave the six mugs 2 good coats, because other reviewers said it was streaky. I knew it was completely coated. After it was dry, the mugs had a very strange texture, but I moved forward. baked it on and then sublimated. Well, it was a massive fail. Needless to say, I returned it. Although, I should be reimbursed for the 6 mugs that were ruined and my sublimation paper and tape too!! When I took it to Kohls to return it, the woman there, told me to keep it in the bag, the chemical smell was so foul! If you choose to purchase this, you have been warned!

It works
I'm thrilled that I can now do something with the fairly expensive sublimation tumblers that haven't turned out quite right. After an overnight stay fool wrapped in Citristrip to take off the misprint, I was able to paint the new sublimation material on with the quite unique, but perfect for the job, "brush".As would be expected, the better a job one does with the application, the smoother the finish. It does sublimate as well as the original and there seems to be plenty of product. I did pick up some extra syringes and medicine cups because the original ones get a little gloppy after a while.

Doesn't work well. Dries too fast.
This product is meant to be applied to substances that are normally not sublimation products, turning them into sublimation blanks. The problem, it doesn't work, at least not well. I've tried on over 50 items and none of them came out properly. I did get "meh" results a few times, but mostly it was horrible results. Some reviews claim that it takes practice and that you can get it to work properly over time. That may be true for some people who work at a lightning-fast pace, but for people who don't have the greatest hand-eye coordination and have to work slow, this product is worthless. It is super-fast drying, so unless you can apply it to the service in a few seconds it will dry before you finish applying it and then it creates uneven areas. Even when you paint your strokes in the same direction (as it instructs) you get clearly visible lines that interrupt the design during sublimation. The syringe that came with it was useless after the first use, as the product hardened inside and made it no longer function and the solution won't come out of the cup or off the brush, making the process harder with each use.I think I will be buying Dyepress Polygloss instead, as it takes hours to dry instead of seconds, meaning I don't have to worry about the product drying before I finish applying it.

WoW
Fabulous! I really enjoyed being able to do sublimation on items that didn’t have the sublimation on it already.

Hard to get a smooth even coat.
It does what it says but...All in all I would say this product is more work than it's worth. Can't seem to get rid of brushstrokes . and you have to bake everything before you can sublimate.
