There’s no noticeable stretch. It’s paracord, with a braid cover and parallel strands inside that resist stretch. At a guess it’s good for several hundred pounds, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s good for more than that, but I advise you not to use it for human life support or any other safety-critical application.

No, it’s not rough. I bought it to make masks, but the cord was too thick. I’m saving it to use for a clothes line.
