Helpful with diaper changes on elderly patient
This has been really helpful. It makes rolling a patient easier when diapering. I feel it’s also easier on the patient not having to grab their hips as much.

Not for large legs
I had to return this item. My GM has lymphedema so her legs are large for her body. This would probably be a great product if the "holes" were bigger but they are actually for a small person weighing less than 150lbs. I weigh 180 and have chicken legs and thought they were too tight for myself.

Takes 2 assist. Not good for 1 caregiver.
This is for a 2 person assist. Not for a single caregiver. It was very sturdy but I couldn’t use it on my mother who is in her 90’s.

Good quality!
As for functionality, this works great if the patient is able to help. Otherwise it was more trouble getting the cushion in place than it was worth. If the patient can grasp the bedrail and pull, this works well. When that ability is lost, this is useless. Also, having a plastic cover that could be wiped clean would be helpful.

Life saver
My husband was totally bedridden for two months before he died. I promised him that I would not put him in a facility. I did most of the caretaking (69 years old with back issues). At first he could help me change him by holding onto the rails. Then he became weaker and would cry in pain when I turned him. I found this device and it made turning him much easier and I was able to attach it to the rail while I bathed his backside. He never felt pain after I started using this.

It works!
I am a Occupationsl Therapist and have shown caregivers of both large and small bed-bound individuals how to use this. It helps with rolling the individual in bed. All who've used this say it helps and "saves their backs."
