AQUANEAT Mini Aquarium Sponge Filter, Quiet Fish Tank Bio Foam Filter, with Airline Tubing, up to 3Gal

I have this in my 2.5g shrimp set up and this little sponge is insane. To get this out of the way, yes it does not come with instructions. But on the listing there’s a picture of all the parts/instructions.Also, this sponge does come all put together, just take the large plastic cylinder and on the top of the sponge filter pop it on. Then take the small airline tubing and connect it to the small nozzle in the center.You do need a air pump but keep in mind, your only paying like 6$, idk why so many people expected a air pump came with. On Amazon just search “Nano USB air pump” it’s like 9.99 and it is genuinely completely silent, it’s designed for less powerful set ups like for 1-3g (same power as this sponge filter) and the two work perfectly together. The little plastic adjuster is great, just connect it to the sponge filter’s airline tubing and the air pump’s (make sure there is a check valve as this adjuster is not) and you can twist the knob to control how much bubbling you want, tighter to make less bubbles, unscrew for more.TLDR:Awesome nano tank sponge filterIs super small but strongComes with an adjuster to make less bubblesJust a great all in all filter

It does not come with an air pump. I knew that before I bought it because I can read.It is smaller than I imagined it could be and will be perfect for a 1-3 gallon nano tank.

I bought it for my beta fish . Works well and is quiet although I had to scroll through many comments to find the most compatible air pump for it. Once i found that option i was able to make it all work. It's a good price for this small piece but yes you need to get the air pump seperate which can be ($15-20) depending. So all together you spending ($20ish for it to all work out which i didn't mind. This is way smaller than the average filter option, so I still prefer making the purchase compared to the other options that are way too big ,bulky and loud. Hope this helps 😀👍🏽

The perfect fit for my 1 gallon shrimp bowl. Easily hidden behind plants, doesn't disturb my shrimp, and sucked up all my mulm that was floating around and sticking to my plants. Comes with a bit of strangely small airline tubing that adds to the mini effect! Also has a strange looking regulator valve that works well but offsets the tubing at an angle. I replaced it no problem with a tetra whisper regulator because I preferred a more streamlined look. For the 6$ I spent on it I'm very happy. This comes with airline tubing, the sponge filter, and a plastic tube that goes around the airline tube. It does NOT come with an air pump which is necessary to run the filter. I would recommend this item for any aquatic plant,snail, fry, or shrimp keeper with small aquariums looking for a clean look.

Beta fish Originating from the rice patties really have no swimming power I could not find a pump that satisfied my little man. Every pump I tried blew him around he finally eventually decided to go to the bottom and hardly ever swim. This little thing has been his savior. With it only being in for a short time he has already starting to get reacquainted with his home again it was lovely seeing him come to the top for the 1st time in weeks. If you have Beta or are planning to get a Beta you need to understand they cannot handle any kind of water wake. I am able to adjust the bubbles to where they are not annoying for him and it's wonderful seeing him again I highly highly recommend this if you have a small tank which I highly recommend for Beta because they really don't like going places that much.. I wished I to learn about this product earlier. I am planning on getting another Beta from my spare tank and I will be getting another one of these spongebob's fantastic.
