Ideal Standard Ceraplan Single Lever Wall Mounted Basin Mixer Tap Chrome

Ideal Standard taps are always a reliable quality build, due to their design and excellent quality parts within. This Ceraplan single lever mixer tap is made from thick chrome on brass with a ceramic disc with a 10 year life warranty, unlike cheaper taps on the market. This one comes with built in flexible tails measuring 35 cm and all you need to plumb it easily onto the basin. We learnt buying much cheaper chrome bathroom taps just haven’t lasted from leaking worn cartridges within to the chrome flaking off the tap disappointingly, we’ve learnt you really do need to buy better taps to last, like this Ideal Standard brand designed in Germany and made in Europe. It’s a good sized tap measuring 150mm from the back to the spout giving a reasonable clearance over the basin from the pre cut hole in the basin. The tap has a fitted champagne flow end but there’s an additional shower flow screw part with the tap too in the kit. The tap has a smart square design with rounded corners, a classy design that looks great in a modern bathroom. Turned up on time but that’s about it plumber just told me it’s just frontal no actual backing kit whatsoever, complete waste of time and money.

Very nice tap, only had it 8 weeks or so, when I turned it on and the spout flew off. Luckily the water wasn't hot (yet). After drying myself and the bathroom I contacted Amazon and fortunately they refunded me.

The media could not be loaded. Was looking for a new tap to replace my old faulty sink one. This tap fit the bill perfectly. Fittings were supplied to fit onto standard uk pipes and are flexible so easy to connect up if you are a half decent diy enthusiast. The tap feels strong and robust, the quality looks great and the water flows smoothly through to tap with no splashing. Two different flow adapters are included for normal flow and aeriated flow. Either adapter simply screws onto the front of the tap. Very happy with this tap.

Ideal Standard Ceraplan Single Lever mixer tap for effortless water and heat control and superb build quality with a very stylish modern look , simplistic in design with a weighty feel but that's just testament to the build quality and durability of this mixer tap , also 10 years warranty is typical of the overall build quality of ideal Standard.This is the third item I have tested now from ideal Standard and I have to say its always excellent quality, it come really well packaged with the parts needed to fit it to a basin.I have a family member who is a plumber , I'll always recommend you get a certified plumber to fit taps and showers as it covers you if anything goes wrong , but he made it look a doddle to be fair.The tap is really good to use too , really smooth action and performs superbly, I'm expecting this mixer tap to last years and years and i love the simplicity of it and chrome finish , it's not the cheapest but it looks expensive too , you get what you pay for as they say.Superb quality.

There is no brassware with this, just the faceplate. Bit bizarre.

What a beautiful Basin tap this is by Ideal Standard! Our bathroom has previously been equipped with a cheaper mixer tap and after just 2 years it had begun to flake. This basin tap seems to be top notch quality, and this is apparent with the chrome material and its premium finishing. It is clear you really do get what you pay for!Installation was one worry for me as I am a big amateur when it comes to plumbing. Though thankfully the instructions were illustrated and clear, so no need to learn new technical terms and words. You are able to set the maximum tap temperature (though this depends on your boilers configuration). The vast majority of the set-up is already done upon arrival so really there's not much for you to do.Overall, this single lever basin mixer tap looks elegant, modern and of excellent quality.
