Q: I am using these in these as front dash speakers instead of tweeters on a 40w rms amp. what hz bass blocker should i use?

Since this is a full-range speaker, if your amp has a high-pass filter, set it at one octave above 80 hz, which would be 160 hz, then work your way up from there until it sounds right to you, without distortion. You didn't mention if you were using this speaker as part of a component set or not, but if you are, whatever you set your high-pass filter for this speaker, you should set your low-pass filter close to that same value for the matching component speaker, then adjust both points and crossover slopes to the desired sound.
