I was told the motherboard of my laptop went out and they wanted to charge me $350 for it. After seeing that my cord was plugged in, I thought about replacing the battery first. After receiving it, it did work and now I saved $350 in unnecessary work. I only had to spend $30! Yay for this single mom!!

Received the laptop battery on time and it was the right model for my computer. The only thing I discovered was that it was shipped with no charge at all on it, which is no big deal, I installed it, plugged it in and let if fully charge, and so far, no issues.

So far is working well, will see how's it holds up after a few months of us. Stay tuned

I ordered this battery to replace a very worn out battery in an older Lenovo T520 laptop I've had for many years now. Anyone with an older Lenovo or IBM ThinkPad knows that these machines were incredibly well built, and had some of the best keyboards ever to be installed in a laptop. As such, many of us still keep these old machines around, and try to keep them going.My old T520 has been through a few batteries, and was due for a replacement again. My hopes for this weren't terribly high, being a non-OEM battery, but I figured I'd give it a shot.The battery arrived with a 60% charge, which was nice. Usually these things have been sitting on a shelf for years, and are dead as can be, so the cells are degrading as a result. Storing these between 20 and 80% is best for them, so being at 60% was ideal.I charged the battery in the machine, and then turned off power savings and left it on for a few hours just to see if the battery would last. After two hours, it still had around half charge left, which is surprising for this old i5-2520M! (and especially since this is the 6-cell and not the 9-cell this came with originally!)The battery shows up as being manufactured by Sanyo. I haven't opened the battery to confirm if they're Sanyo cells or another brand. This may simply be the charge controller emulating a supported manufacturer, which is understandable. I don't consider this a pro or a con, but simply a data point for the reader's evaluation.Now for the single con: This battery sticks out about 2mm further than it should. If you run your finger across the back of the machine, you'll feel the battery and the chassis are out of alignment on both sides. I'm guessing this is a manufacturing tolerance issue. The good news is, the battery securely locks into the machine, and the machine recognizes it properly and charges/discharges as expected. This makes this simply a cosmetic issue that really only the OCD among us will notice. Normally I'd ding a star for this, but I'm so happy with the capacity that I'm leaving it at 5 stars.So, for the Lenovo fanboys out there reading this, I'd say to give this one a try. I'll be sure to update my review if I run into issues down the line.

This battery replaces a worn battery for my old Lenovo 520 laptop. It was very easy to install and charged up to 100%. I wasn’t sure it would provide a full charge, but was happy to see that it did. I unplugged it after an hour to see how well it would hold a charge. It dropped to only 94%, which is great! I did not set my hopes high, but am very pleased with the performance so far. I won’t be tethered to the cord anymore! It’s nice to have a truly mobile laptop again.
