excellent and affordable
These taste great for what they are - they're just brined olives, not fancy marinated olives, but you can marinate them yourself with spices and they are much cheaper than buying them from the olive bar. Highly recommended.

Tasty pitted olives
This is a good buy. The olives are tasty and most are in good condition. We eat a lot of olives and keep a jar in our kitchen all the time. To prepare these olives: 1. drain the liquid in which they are shipped. 2. Pierce a 1 or 2 small jalapeno or Serrano peppers in a clean quart jar 3. Add olives to almost the top of the jar. 4. Fill the jar with olive oil. 5. Cover with the lid and keep out of direct sunlight and store on your counter top. Do NOT refrigerate. These will keep for months. The taste is quite good with just a touch of heat from the peppers. Small jars of olives prepared this way make excellent hostess gifts. After the olives have been consumed, I strain the remaining olive oil and use it for cooking. The taste of the olive oil flavored with the peppers adds another layer of flavoring to most dishes. The olive oil is also great for dipping.

Just Delicious! -- need smaller bags
I ordered these last year, and one neighbor was so envious she went in halves with me this year. The packaging is great, but the whole thing is in one bag so, when I open it, I have to put the olives into various smaller containers and refrigerate all of them. If the order were split into smaller bags, I could open just one at a time and refrigerate just that one. The rest of the olives would stay fresh in the original packaging at room temperature, and wouldn't take up room in the fridge.

What a mistake, do not buy these.
These olives are so salty that I could hardly eat them and many of them are crushed. On top of that, in the 30 or so that I have eaten I have found 2 pits and several pieces of pits. If this were any other item I would return it immediately, but since it is a bulk packed food item I guess I'll just have to take the loss and put them in the garbage.

Good olives.
Good olives. There is the occasional pit, but all in all they seem like a good bargain if you like a large quantity of olives. The entire bag fit into a one gallon glass jar (old pickle jar) but I had to add a little more vinegar to make sure the olives were covered. Be aware you may want to take a smaller amount out of the bigger jar to rinse off some of the brine before eat them if the salt bothers you.

these are better in quality
One reviewer called the olives "mushy". Yes, some are - too many are. The reason is: they are pitted. Pitted olives get mushy and loose their taste quickly. I tried to get unpitted olives. Impossible. "Convenience" is more important than taste, apparently. Yet, compared to the pitted Costco Kalamata olives, these are better in quality. But not excellent, just so so. What can you expect of pitted olives? They will always remain an inferior product.
