PilotMechanical Pencil Lead Neox Graphite 0.7mm, 2B, 40 Leads (HRF7G-20-2B)

This pencil lead is very smooth and dark. I would say it's like writing with a stick of butter on a hot griddle. The 2B does smear and transfer but I would hope anyone buying this would know that's how it goes.

This higher-end lead from Pilot is fantastic. It is far smoother than the "hi-polymer" leads; buttery in fact. If you just use mechanical pencils for a quick scribble or equations, this might be overkill. But if you use the pencil for taking notes or other extended writing, you'll be amazed by the difference. Separately, the containers don't spill all the leads into your hand when you refill. They feed one or maybe two at a time. You won't spill so many (as most of us do on occasion) and that saves you a mess and waste too.

Bought the 0.7 B, it's very soft and dark. This is probably the best lead I have ever used. I will stick to this product. Can't find anything out there as good as this!
