small and powerful
Pretty amazing for my purposes!I just installed it in my RV thinking it might be a little underpowered - but it wasn't.I took a shower and it provided more than enough hot water with a regular showerhead - it was divine to finally have hot water for showering and washing dishes, etc....I don't know if it would provide enough hot water at regular house water pressure (80psi), but at 40 PSI and still fairly cold city water this time of year (maybe 40 degrees) this little thing worked like a dream. Smaller than a shoebox, but packs a punch. Can't speak anything about longevity because I literally just installed it, but so far so good.

Great little unit
I bought this little heater for just one single bathtub. It works beautifully. Couldn’t be happier. I do live in South Florida though and the water that comes into the system is already pretty warm.

I have Taken a shower with this
I have a coal wood boiler, I have a indirect water heater and a domestic coil in it. 6-7 months out of the year I didn't need the tank water heater and I would just keep it on and feed the boilers hot water (makes 130-150 degree water). It no longer made sense to pay for the ridiculous cost to keep the old water heater in use. It is October and the boiler is off and I took a shower on a 1.25 gpm shower head, I could tell no difference. Water coming in is 55 degrees, however the ambience of the basement heats the 40 gallon indirect water heater and boiler at around 68. These slightly warmer temps help even if the system is off, factor that in to your equation. Some adviceinstall a 1 micron water filter before the unit, these only fail because calcium or sediment cakes and cooks the unit. This is still a problem for tank heaters as calcium deposits will burn up heating elements in the tank units also. Hard water is significantly reduced by whole house filter, I have had my water tested before and after I installed them years ag0o. I have a 80 percent reduction in calcium and almost entirely reduced sediment. My solution is 5micron washable-5 micron carbon disposable-1micron activated carbon disposable- 1/2 micron disposable. I have a strainer in front of the tankless. The filter setup is more reliable and cheaper than a water softener. If you have a water softener you still need a filter before the tankless unit.It makes no sense today not to have a lower flow shower head, It takes zero adjustment to the lower flow and the shower head saves cost on hot water. Lower flow shower head will make all the difference on saving money with this application. The unit uses a special compression fitting that is supplied with the unit and make sure its properly put together.

Died after 3 months, Warranty is a joke!
This is our third Rheem small electric water heater. It is for an outdoor shower and a garage sink. The first one BLEW UP just out of warranty! Amazon asked them to replace it for us and they did. The second one lasted 8 years. When it gave up we went to Amazon to replace it and they recommended this newer product. We bought it in Sept. 2023 and it stopped heating in late November 2023. When we finally were directed to the right people on the phone we were sent a15 page PDF and told to troubleshoot it ourselves and if the the Thermistors and Heating Elements were faulty they would send new parts and we would have to install them ourselves. The warranty on the heating element said 5 years but that do-it-yourself is NO Warranty at all! Three months! if they don't have people on the ground to work on them they should be refunded or replaced after such a short amount of time.

Efficient system but the manual needs improvement
I gave only 3 stars because the manufacturer failed to include steps to remove the cover and instructions for wiring the electrical side of things. No photos or even diagrams of wiring instructions. This was poor manual design. We spent considerable down time figuring out where the tiny 2 screws on the bottom were, that allowed access to the inside to connect the wiring. Eventually also found a YouTube video. This product manual needs to be rewritten. Otherwise the system works well. It's very sensitive as it detects hot water use quickly and heats up with reasonable time. We're in Florida and use only one pipe at a time for hot water. No issues so far.One was even connected behind a 10k solar inverter and it functioned well. With a few other things using power at the same time.
