Okay, I was REALLY scared when I purchased this, thinking I was going to get poor quality somewhere. But I have used everything daily since I got it, and I am just SO glad I took the plunge. It's not the absolute best quality cast iron, but it seasons well, cleans quickly, and is just much better than I expected. The wooden box is sturdier than I thought it would be, and is built decently. It will do for any group or base camping that you don't have to carry all that weight far. Great for scouters, and families.

We actually took the time and preseason this cast-iron set in our stove really simple to do because when they came in, you could tell in my opinion they were not seasoned but no big deal. Love the set. We use them on our camping trips and they were phenomenally. Also, I would consider it a great value for the money.

Best purchase I ever made.

Once you season these well, they are great! It's a great value! All the pots and pans were very durable and the packing crate is awesome! We have used them on the stove and over the fire and they cook amazingly! My son now loves to cook because of these! They are heavy, but that is expected for cast iron. They clean up super well! Just make sure you oil them after cleaning.

Good deals aren’t always good. The “nice“ wooden carrying box is comes with is literally made from the paneling that mobile homes use. Very very thin. Package isn’t even able to be pulled from the box in 1 piece. Purchase your cast iron without a box and make sure you do your homework on it first. Hope this helps. Will have another review about the “small” cast iron set that came with.Update: still broken and cheap. And no response from seller.
