Terrible - NOT A GRAB BAR!
First, the item I received was 16-3/4” instead of 20”. Not such a big deal, unless the box says 20” and the enclosed instructions give dimensions for drilling holes based on 20”. Fortunately I double checked the drilling marks I’d made by holding up the actual bar … thank goodness I hadn’t drilled the holes yet!Second - this should not be described as a grab bar. The attachment hardware is THE SAME AS A TOWEL BAR. Adequate to hold towels but unsafe for use as a true grab bar. As we were just looking for something to provide a ‘steadying’ support when stepping into and out of the tub / shower I went ahead and attached it to the wall.

Pretty and safe
We installed this into a newly renovated bathroom. We were slightly nervous because we didn’t want to ruin the look of it. Well, it looks great. We are very pleased and are happy that people can get out of the tub or shower safely.

Very nice looking and sturdy
We put two in the bath and one by the toilet, very impressed with the looks and the two in the bath still looks new and cleans well after a year.

One of the main parts was missing!
By the time that I opened up the package to install the hand grip I noticed that one of the main parts for securing it to the wall was missing but it was past the return date so I just tossed it into the trash. Now I am a bit paranoid about making sure all of the parts are included within the packages that I receive as soon as I bring them into my house. I am not too happy about having to throw away something that I just bought but why keep something that can't be installed without the part? Anyway, always check your packages for all of the parts before placing them in your garage until you are ready to install them.

Not as advertised
This product is not a grab bar. By design it is a towel bar. It will not support weight.
