Q: why when I ordered the same product a month ago on amazon prime I payed 12.95 and now the price has doubled?

I’ve been buying this brand for about a year now, & I’ve never seen a prove jump/drop on this product , maybe only a couple dollars between amazon & PetSmart. The 12 pound bag has always been 24-27 dollars
