Got these for the awning guide lines. Very satisfied

I tried using these on Christmas inflatables. I think the string included with them is more the issue and the shaking/shivering nature of one of them causes it to loosen and then become useless. These, however, are crazy simple to use though and seem durable enough for other applications.

Lightweight

Usually replace the cheapie plastic rope locks that come with tents and flys with these. Lock up tight and don't slide down. On covers with more stress I usually replace the guy lines, also, with heavier cord. Never had these fail me, even with three days of good winds and rain.

They definitely do not keep the line tight

Don't waste your hard earned money and time on these tension adjusters. They don't grip at all, they slide easily in the locked orientation.
