Retro vibe with modern build quality
Why has it taken me so long to buy an electric 12-string? This is one fun guitar with a great retro vibe and classic sound. It's just so much fun to play. I was struck by how well built it seems for what is still considered a relatively cheap guitar. In fact, the neck is quite nice with superbly finished frets. I can run my fingers down the sides of the entire neck and won't feel the slightest catch. Only my MIJ Fender Strat has the same feel. It feels fairly well balanced with a strap. The lipstick tube pickups are jangly and bright. Now that all the gushing is over, there are a few things I didn't like. One thing, that isn't the fault of the guitar at all is the strings that were on it were old. Not played, but I could tell they'd been on the guitar for awhile. I think all new guitars should come with a fresh set of strings anyway, but this one really needed it. I also don't care for the aluminum nut. For one, it feels a little extra high and I think it is mostly to blame for my next issue... Intonation. I had to adjust intonation on all but the high b and e strings. The low e and g were the worst. I'm nearly at the end of available movement for the low e. Again, I think the high nut is to blame for that. Others did say that it stayed in tune well, I haven't had that kind of luck so far, but it isn't because the strings are skipping out the tuners don't hold. It is likely due to our weather with some extreme changes in temperature and humidity over the last 6 weeks as well as a few to many winds on the tuners. All in all, this is a pretty good bargain. You get a nice looking guitar that feels like quality with a sound that instantly transports you to the '60s.

Perfect, right out of the box.
Beautiful guitar, have been playing it right out of the box without making one single adjustment. Not a single fret-buzz, all the octaves are spot on, the action is easy, and it's a gorgeous-looking guitar.
