Q: Are these pre-lubed or do we need to lube it?

we do not pre-lube roller bearing wheels because the lube tends to make a mess in transit.

Q: What width flat bar will these work on?

We build barn doors and tracks all the time using these wheels. We always use 3/16"x2 1/2" flat bar. 1/4" is to thick! If you have any inconsistencies in the material, the wheels will bind or hop.

Q: Can these run on a flat rail too? Or do you definately need a v rail? thank you!

Glenn C,2 1/2" Tall by 3/8" thick, you want the wheel to ride on the top of the V grove "not" down in the channel, "it can bind if rail undulates with the wall" so use 3/8" thick or better.Michael

Q: What are the dimensions of the small groove at the center/bottom of the V (width x depth)?

I don't know the actual demensions but I can tell you that I used a piece of flat stock steele measuring 1/8" thick by 3" tall as the rail that this wheel rolls on for my barn door hardware.
