Fresh—good quality
I got these for some fire tonic I was making—I had looked everywhere for fresh horse radish with out success (it is totally different fresh fyi)—i had enough to put the extra in a bucket of soil—and put them out in the garden in the spring—they are doing well, and I am happy with the quality and taste—it was nice when I looked it up to find they are in the same state so I was pretty sure the variety would do well in the garden too!—and it did. — thanks!-

Worth every penny
I bought this May 2023. I made a quart bottle of ground horseradish and planted three pieces. The plants disappeared. My puppy kept digging them up :( I had two pieces left over. They sat in the back of my fridge for a year. One looked dead, so it went in the compost. I planted the other about 4 weeks ago. The picture is one of those large pots...2.5 gallons. Then I notice the same leaves in my yard. So either the pieces my dog dug up, or the woody outsides I cut away while making horseradish rooted in my yard. I'll dig them up next spring and plant them where I want them to grow. I'm pretty excited to finally grow some horseradish!

Shipped promptly and well
This arrived ahead of time. Well packaged and ready to grow. Planted with a handful of compost in each hole, and then mulched with straw. Three of the five pieces are showing growth already. We are in zone three, with nights in the low twenties. Not affecting them in the least. Will definitely be purchasing from this seller again. Update:All pieces have rooted, and are growing great. Leaves are at least 12 plus inches tall. Definitely recommend this seller.

I received an old root that was growing shoots and felt like rubber when the root was squeezed.
I received an old root that was growing shoots and felt like rubber when the root was squeezed. After washing all the dirt off, it looked very shriveled/wrinkled. This was not worth the money and I saw some way better in the store looking healthy and firm. I do not appreciate what was sent. I feel robbed.

Horse radish is growing
Roots looked bad but I planted them and I was surprised I had greenery peeking out from under the dirt. Not every root grew but happy.

Beautiful, well grown roots
We received four large, firm roots wrapped in moist paper towels. These were cut into eight planting sections with enough left to prepare some and store remaining root in the refrigerator for the coming months. Very satisfied!

Worth the effort.
I used the roots to make my own hr sauce. Way more flavor and kick than the prepared stuff. I peel the roots, slice them into medallions and process in a blender with salt, sugar and just enough vinegar to make it smooth.
