Great Duckweed
This duckweed arrived alive and was able to prosper in an aquarium. It came with some water fleas, but those are beneficial. If people plan on buying this product, I highly recommend washing the plants in spring or purified water before putting them in an established tank. They arrive in a small container with water that's kind of dirty. Alternatively, the dirty water may be used to prime a new aquarium with beneficial microorganisms. It's also worth noting that maintenance of an aquarium may become more difficult with duckweed. It is not for aquariums with water falls, as they get submerged easily and clog the filter, so air stones are ideal. Finally, I really recommend scooping up the duckweed and putting it in a separate container while you vacuum the tank substrate.

Snails, leeches, worms
Really disgusting. There are small snails, leech like worms, and white worms. I’m not a professional but I don’t think I should add any of that stuff to my tank. Waste of your money. Even if the container wasn’t full of worms it’s a very small amount of actual plants that are useable.

Comes with extra critters
Good duckweed. Comes with parasites, bugs and who knows what else. Use glass baking pan, bubbler and monitor before adding to aquarium. Grows like crazy once in tank.

Snails but good plants.
Great quality plant and they were in good shape, very green. NO SMELL! very healthy. Came in a plastic cup. Definitely was a smaller amount than advertise and came with three small snails. If you don’t care to dig through your cup for the smallest of snails and other plant debris like leaves then go ahead cause at least the plants was great. For the price and since it wasn’t that difficult to dig I would probably buy again but giving a three star since them amount was not like it said and snails.

UPDATED- Tiny but healthy- a warning about decontaminating!
The little leaves are tiny but look very healthy. I have learned very quickly though, that giving these a bleach bath is an absolute nightmare! For your sake, find another way to decontaminate them or just put them in quarantine for a week! They are tiny, individual floaters, so it’s near impossible to get them out of one bucket and into another with clean water. You’ll lose them right along with the bleach water being poured out! I have a fine mesh wire strainer, but even that doesn’t keep them in. They stick to every surface they come in contact with, including the gloves you’re using to transport them to clean water! Make sure you have some dechlorinator on hand to neutralize any bleach that gets transferred. This is not the type of plant that you can rinse. I’m excited to get them in my tank once I’m sure they’re safe to be added into my aquarium with my pregnant guppy!Update: Unfortunately, in addition to the effort it takes to get them safely in the tank, they get forced downward into the water by the filter (I have gentle flow) and then sucked in to the filter or block the intake slots completely the more they pile up. I put a wall guard up and even stuffed the tiny crevices with dense foam and somehow the duckweed found its way in. The filtered water had a hard time flowing through the small holes in the wall to keep the rest of the tank (and fish!) clean. It was so much extra work at every turn, until much of the duckweed started dying off (I was glad it didn’t multiply) and I transferred most of what was was left into a 5 gallon tank with an even softer flow that was placed where it would project the water in a different pattern than the other tank. It all died off over the course of about 6-9 months and I have to say it wasn’t a sad goodbye. I’m still experimenting with other water plants, but sticking with the kind that root to the bottom or can be attached to rocks or wood!

Pests
I love duckweed and I have three tanks so I wanted some for my bettas. However, while the plants came in great condition (though with no heating pack despite it being below freezing where I live), there were many different kinds of pests in the container. Nuisance snails were the obvious ones but on closer inspection there were scuds and something else even smaller. I could see nuisance snails so small that there was no way to remove them. Duckweed is small and it would be extremely difficult if not impossible to be rid of these pests that will take over a tank without destroying and losing some of the plants. I reached out to the seller but they didn’t help much and offered no help on getting rid of scuds (it says on their website how to get rid of the snails). I’m returning them because there is no way I can use any of these without worrying some pest will infest my tank. I honestly don’t recommend purchasing.

I'm happy with this purchase.
I bought this to grow in my guppy tank and to feed to my goldfish. First picture is what it came in, second picture is how much I received (1/3 cup) and the last picture is it in my aquarium. I'm still learning about live plants but in my opinion it looks really good and healthy and my guppy fry fish are having a blast swimming through all the little roots. The amount I got covers half of the top of my 10gal aquarium. Overall I am happy with this purchase and would recommend and order again. 🥰

I received a bad batch
The media could not be loaded. I received this package on my front porch and I was so excited to open it and put in in a tank. But when I saw the crushed box I was worried. I opened the box and the item wasn’t crushed or opened so that was good, but then I saw the contents…. I couldn’t make out any leafs or anything in it other than green slimy water. And when you see it like this don’t even bother opening it, because I opened it in my bedroom and it was a total stink bomb. Gonna try and get another one for free because I don’t think I should return this
