Clock repair often needs fabrication of small parts. Sander is ideal size for roughing out parts

It spins ok but has a lot of problems.
The good news is it spins when you switch it on. It doesn’t throw belts and seems to have a fairly generous amount of torque. Fairly quiet and doesn’t vibrate all that much due to shock absorbing feet.However, the circular sanding disc is glued on. No swapping that unless it’s hacked off. The fence for the circular sander wheel doesn’t lock. I took off some material from the top of the bar and this seems to have solved it for now. Nasty spike in the finger from the thumb screw though. Looks like someone has taken some pliers to it at some point.The adjuster for the belt table dropped off. I eventually found the spring but the threads inside were terrible so am hoping some loctite thread lock will hold it.Not that impressed for the price. Branded product as well. Should be about half the price. Really cheap shoddy junk for hardware. Just hope the bearings and motor hold out.
