Great little amp. Could use some extra features.
I bought this amp a few weeks ago and wanted to use it and all of its features before review:POSITIVE:1. Easy to use both with and without the app. I can't express how important this is.2. Great Sound.3. Portable4. App works great and connects easily5. The Jam Along features are awesome6. Looks great and seems sturdy (despite the mini toggle switch).NEGATIVE:1. Very first thing you touch is an undersized toggle switch. Not a fan.2. I would pay an additional $50 to have a balanced line out. The only way to play louder is with a mic.3. No effects loop.4. Uses a laptop charger which does not store on or in the amp. This would be a convenience.5. The tuner seems like an afterthought and really isn't that functional.I would definitely buy this again and would recommend it to anyone who needs a practice amp that sounds great. I keep the big guns in my studio and the Spark has found a nice spot in my bedroom. I chose the Pearl White, and it looks classy on my nightstand. I traveled with it to Orlando and it worked flawlessly.

Great Sound and Easy to Use
I'm a bassist that's been playing, well, let's just say a long time. I keep most of my amps at my band's studio and especially with the pandemic, I've wanted a small amp that doesn't shake pictures off the wall. There were several bass amps I had considered, but this one is also for guitar, which I also play. I took advantage of the recent sale. The first instrument I plugged into the Spark Amp was my new Rickenbacker 4003S/5. I figured if this amp was good with a 5 string, it should be good with just about any instrument. Until I played with app, my initial thought was, "UGH, terrible". I guess the default app setting was not at all bass guitar friendly. Once I picked a bass amp, I was pleasantly surprised by the tone. Not cheap or wimpy sounding at all, even with the low B string. It gets reasonably loud too. It's not gy to shake walls or rattle windows,You could play bass at a low volume coffee shop gig or an acoustic jam with this amp.It also works great as a bluetooth music player with full, rich tones and a nice bass presence, so you can learn songs, play along with or just listen to music. It comes with Pre Sonus Studio One recording software and a USB cable to connect the Spark amp to your computer to record..The app is easy to use and there are many presets to select on the cloud. You can also make and share your own.The only con I can think of so far, is that there is no internal battery for extra portability. I think you can probably power the amp with a portable rechargeable battery, it you find one that supplies19 volts at 2.5 amps, but be very careful about that.Beginners as well as seasoned musicians can equally enjoy the use of this amp.

Perfect Practice Amp!!!!
Wow, I did a ton of research on this amp before buying it. The sound quality is BEYOND impressive. My primary rigs are tube amps but this Spark amp is perfect for practicing. It's super portable and packs a punch!!! The onboard effects are awesome as well as the versatility with the app on my iPhone. You can literally download thousands of effects created by other Spark users and basically sound like any professional musician. You can also upload effects made by yourself to share with others. So glad we bought this for my son who's an aspiring guitar player. This is the perfect tool to re-inspire his wanting to learn. The backing tracks are really cool; you can learn leads with a virtual band playing along side you and the chords are displayed in real time for learning the rhythms. We'll BOTH be using this amp for years to come!!! I highly recommend this product!

This thing is on another Level>>>>
I have a large Roland Amp for Keyboard, It's a bit oldered but very solid... I bought this for a lap steel... I got to say... the Rich Sound you get From this, not to mention the app that is packed with effects... It's very hard to believe the sound you get from this is rival to the older Roland... but it does do it... the sound is deep and true... a 150lbs of amp has a rock solid sound,.. but this little portable kicks butt... and takes no time to take names... Try one and you will hear... Hearing one is believing...Ethan E. Highsmith

Great little amp
It's a great little amplifier. The setup is a little confusing, and I think the company is confused about what they are promising. My amp did NOT come with a USB cable- and support suggested I go buy one at a computer store. That's fine, but ... don't advertise USB connectivity if it doesn't come with a USB cable. This might be an issue with Amazon, I'm not sure. But I don't want to return the entire amp to get a USB cable! They should do better quality control on package contents. That said, I've enjoyed playing around with this amp. I have an iPhone 10 for what that's worth- the Spark app can be installed and paired to the amp itself (you have to connect via Bluetooth settings) and you're off to the races. The insert in the box did not help with any of this- and getting the free PreSonus software for PC is further confusing (I thought maybe this was a desktop only device after reading the feedback from the app registration). So don't expect too much in terms of PC connectivity, but if you're looking to plug in and play along with the app, or control settings through the Spark app, it's great.

Great little amp for practice and coffee house volume gigs.
I use it for Pedal Steel, and it works great as a practice amp and for when I don't want to drag a full rig out to a jam. No, it won't be replacing my Fender and Port City tube amps anytime soon, but it's a pretty handy little amp that's loud enough for jams without a drummer. I'm not a huge fan of the app, but I can see that some folks would love it.
