1-1/2" X 1-1/4" Tubular Slip Pipe Fitting reducer adapter

If you're attempting to transition a commercial item from 1 1/2 to the common residential 1 1/4, this basic step down is necessary.

This is just a couple of very thin 11/4 pipe pieces with a 1 1/2 screw fitting to put on the other end using a cheap rubber ring to take up the gap. They didn't even use a 1 1/2 screw fitting filled to the pipe size so there is a 1/4" gap between the screw threads and the pipe. Because the rubber ring is made with a very cheap and thin material it does not get tight around the pipe. I included a picture showing difference but because of the distance between the two pieces it looks like the 1 1/4 is larger than the 1 1/2 (the smaller one with the blue ring). This is a piece of junk.

These adapters are handy, perform as intended and seem to be of good quality. Nice value.

I have an old house and someone did a modification leaving me with an impossible to find solution. This finally finally solved my problem! Fit perfectly and robust gaskets as well for additional seal.

This arrived with the ends cut in a jagged, sloppy way. Maybe someone else had it, tried to modify it, and returned it? Regardless, it was useless for me.
