Toddler approved, flight essential
This is our second pair because I thought I lost one but we like them so much we did not switch to a different pair. They collapse nicely and the sound is great. My 3 year old also like the changing colored lights though I find them rather annoying! Anyways, def recommend these for kids!

Autistic Friendly
My son whom is a 15 yr old and Autistic loves his headphones. I think I hit the jackpot on this one finally😂 It’s, functioning, sound quality is great, it’s not heavy, and the volume control is easy to manage. And hey, moms and dads, it’s worth the value of your money!!!

Good but not too good
They are great for my kid, but we had some issues every time my daughter is on the (apple) table and tries to make a call, for some reason, it automatically disconnects, so I have to be running to check on this issue every time this happens, instead of just keep connecting every time the Bluetooth is on, just it’s inconvenient. The material and look are just as the pictures, and the sound quality is good too, no complaints about it. Love the fact that volume is safe for kids

Disappointing Experience Buy Something Else
I recently purchased the Philips K4206 Kids Wireless On-Ear Headphones, hoping they would be a safe and reliable choice for my child's entertainment and educational needs. Unfortunately, the experience has been less than satisfactory, and I feel compelled to share my thoughts to help other parents make a more informed decision.Firstly, the claim of "28 hours play time" falls short in reality. The battery life is significantly less than advertised, barely lasting through a full day of intermittent use before needing a recharge. This has been quite inconvenient, especially considering the long charge time required to get back to full capacity. While the idea of a volume limit for safer hearing is commendable, the execution in these headphones is underwhelming. The 85dB volume limit, which is supposed to protect young ears, is inconsistently applied across different devices and types of content, leading to volume levels that can suddenly spike or drop without warning. The build quality is another area where the headphones don't quite meet expectations. Despite being designed for kids, the materials feel cheap and not particularly durable. The plastic is flimsy, and after just a few weeks of use, the hinges show signs of wear. I am not confident these headphones will last long, especially in the hands of younger children.Additionally, the Bluetooth connection is erratic at best. Pairing the headphones with various devices is more complicated than it should be, and the connection often drops unexpectedly, which is frustrating for both me and my child.Lastly, the built-in mic quality is mediocre. When my child uses the headphones for online classes or chatting with friends, the sound quality is often muffled, making communication more difficult than it should be.Overall, the Philips K4206 Kids Wireless On-Ear Headphones have been a letdown. Despite their kid-friendly features and design, the poor battery life, questionable build quality, and unreliable Bluetooth connectivity make it difficult for me to recommend this product. Parents might want to consider other options that offer better reliability and value for money.

Very strange software indeed but hardware is fine
First I had a BT connection problem where my device would see them and try to connect but was returning the message that headphones are refusing connection. After a few times turning things on/off it did connect both to the Android phone and the iPad.Then all these very strange software related things started happening:In default setting with the EQ off, the headphones are quiet and extremely anemic sounding, pretty much useless. That was largely solved by installing the Phillips headphone app and turning the EQ on. Then, presets are completely useless, they make the headphones sound their worst. I really never ever heard the EQ presets make headphones sound a lot quieter and a lot worse. Like, with the EQ on and left flat they sound fine, switch to the "powerful" preset and the the volume goes down and they sound anemic again. Complete opposite from the preset name. Every other preset sounds a lot worse than flat EQ.Keep it flat and you can then boost your preferred frequencies from there and bring some more life to them and they'll be fine. So that got solved as well. Then another software issue happened that made me speak some choice words inside myself because my daughter was waiting for me to be done so she can use her new headphones. They kept announcing "playtime limit" every few seconds. I didn't know if this is coming from headphones limiter or the iPad screen time limit feature. So then I made sure the headphones app allowed all the time in the iPad. Prompt was still there. Then I went into the headphones app and set the playtime limit to "never". The prompt was still there. Then I disconnected the BT and deleted the device from the iPad. The prompt was still there, announcing every few seconds. Yeah, headache inducing. Then I reconnected everything and set the playtime limit in the app to 4 hours and they were finally happy and the prompt disappeared. I also hit "clear headphones data" in the settings just for good measure even though it didn't seem to change any of the current settings. So hopefully that got solved too.Lastly, and this one I couldn't figure out, raising and lowering the volume is acting against the logic. Raising the volume starts as expected but as the slider is reaching all the way up it gets significantly quieter. Same with lowering the volume from here. As you start, the volume will first get louder but then quiet down as you reach lower levels. I imagine they have some sort of automatic limiter separate then max volume settings. And I couldn't find anything to defeat that. Then, for example, you set the volume slider to 80% with volume limit set to no limit and then change that setting to 80% limit and the volume will actually get a little louder. But same will happen in reverse: move the volume slider a bit to change things up, then set the volume slider to around 80% up, and then within the app change the the volume limit setting from 80% to no limit and the volume will jump up a little. Makes no sense whatsoever. So I set it to 80%.Bottom line the volume midway will be loud enough (with all these other workarounds mentioned earlier in the review) for a child and the sound quality is just fine. They seem to be comfortable for our daughter as we had to return other on-ear headphones and even over the ear because they weren't comfortable for her more than 15-20 minutes. The quality is in line with everything else we bought for her except the Phillips is twice the price. But I picked up a returned ones for less than half regular price because I suspected they're pretty much brand new, only somebody didn't want to deal with all these quirks and investigate how to get around them. The headphones app says they have the latest firmware installed. If Phillips cares enough to have someone spend a few hours getting rid of these bugs, they'll be very good headphones.

Grand kids think that these are the Best!
Bought these for our grandkids. This goes along with either a blue tooth phone of a pad. We go to a restraunt with them and after dining - the adults can sit back and enjoy those last moments together while they put these on and they are off into their thoughts!! They feel like they are hip like a Big Kid!
