The install wasn't really too bad at all
The install wasn't really too bad at all. I had a buddy help me out and we managed to get the old the seal out with a pair of needle nose pliers and some minor cussing. Once that was done a little wiggling and we easily removed the old gas cap. The Opar Gas Cap snaps in quite easily and adds a sweet patriotic cosmetic to your Jeep as well as some protection. The gas cap sits nice and snug on my 2011 Jeep Wrangler Sport and there is no space between the cap and the body. It is raised up slightly but no biggie. Overall for the price you pay, you can't beat it and I would highly recommend for any patriotic American looking to freedom up their Wrangler.

Instructions were horrible along with some other minor things
I get a email from them showing me how to install this with a few photos, and then I also got a different set of instructions with the package.. both of them completely sucked. Also, once i figured it out as it was getting darker and darker, I finally figured that i had to undo the alan bolts around the edges, HOWEVER! WARNING! look on the back of the alan screws, the top and the bottom have nuts on them and do not need to be removed like I did. I lost one of the nuts and can't find it now. I will probably land up gluing the bottom alan back in and hope it holds. the instructions also told me to remove the NEW rubber seal once it was installed. I disagree with that for safety reasons. Bang gas tub against other metal with gas fumes is not my kind of party I want to be in. OH! Also the gas cap. I was instructed to take the cap off the old housing unit and put it in the hole of the new gas cover. I did but I think the hole is a little big because it is not holding my gas cap when it is open. After all said and done.. looks good... About a 1 hour installation if they get the instructions together and easier to understand.

Plastic and tabs way too large!!!!
Bought this for a 2016 Jeep Wrangler JK. Easy enough to get the stock gas cap components off. However, whether due to bad quality control or just luck of the draw, this thing is not even close to fitting. The plastic tabs and shape of the gas cap cover make it all but impossible to fit it in the stock hole. After grinding off part of the plastic tabs that hold it in and then enlarging the hole on the Jeep by grinding away at the metal for 10 minutes I was finally able to make it fit, sort of. There are still gaps around the plastic that seals to the Jeep. Overall I was not impressed with the quality of this product. There are lots of other positive reviews and there is the possibility I got a lemon, but I would not chance it again by purchasing this one.
