NOT a Real Antenna
Purchased this antenna for a golf cart where I was installing a car radio. Thought I was getting an antenna. The plug that goes into the radio fit, but was not grounded in any way to the radio. It was missing that part of the wire. The mount was reasonable but it stops there. There is no antenna (see photo). The parts are made of plastic with a chrome plating. Removal of the rubber antenna showed a hole inside it, but there was not metal insert or wire. Just a piece of rubber. After connecting I had next to no signal on any station in the FM band and no signal in the AM band. (please note I am in a rural area of Texas, closest stating is 30 miles away) Using a 6" piece of copper inserted into the radio I was able to get all the local stations. This antenna had some reception on 1 station. Using their un-grounded cable I made used the same 6" piece of copper wire and could not improve reception. The wire is likely the wrong impedance.Pros:Not many, the antenna plug did fit the radioCons:Not an antennaPlug for radio not groundedNo conductivity in the mount for an aerialNo areal in the rubber part of the antennaIn rural setting no usable radio stationsThis unit may provide reception in a metropolitan region where stations are close and strong, but then a 6" piece of wire would do the same. Without the ground and aerial, its difficult to call this an antenna.

Difficult to install in existing hole.
After I spent hours just getting out installed in the existing hole I had to route it a different way than original which made it about one foot to short. Doesn't seem to get the stations very clearly. But it's better then not having a radio. No installation instructions. Having prior knowledge of installation I put in in but if I had not prior experience I would have to hire someone that knows these to do so.

Cheap
I bought this just to test a couple of old car radiosI guess it’s ok for that. Wouldn’t put it on a vehicleTo be honest I don’t think anyone makes a good replacement antenna anymore
