Jason Men's Refreshing Lotion and Aftershave Balm, 4 oz

Let me start by saying that I have used a lot of high end moisturizers. The one's made for men as well as for women. I have paid up to $100 an ounce. This works as good as any of them and with a far better fragrance. It has a natural and fresh scent and does not smell chemically or perfumey.I am allergic to many, if not most cosmetics, shampoos, soaps and in particular lotions. I have no more reaction to this than if it was water. I have used it as a facial and body moisturizer, a hand lotion and a shave balm. If I want my skin to be soft for date, I will use it as a body moisturizer. Because it is not perfumey, I can use as much as I want and not smell like a perfume counter. It has such a clean scent, that even if I use a lot on my skin, I can still put on a nice cologne and it does not compete or distort the scent.The texture is slightly runny, as with most moisturizers. See picture. This allows it to spread on easily and thinly. You dont need a lot. It disappears very quickly as it absorbs into the skin. I cant take a picture of invisible, so I ran a finger through a drop of it and photographed that. It kind of shows how quickly it absorbs. I do not like anything that feels greasy or thick on my skin. I am VERY VERY picky about that. So it says something that I LOVE this stuff.It should be called Grapefruit & Ginger. The scent leans heavily towards grapefruit, I'm unsure why they called it citrus, and the ginger scent is only a very light undertone. Sometimes I get hungry when I use it. =) I have also purchased the Jason vitamin E oil in the same scent. I really like that as well, but discovered that it works really well to put a dime sized drop of this on your palm and then a couple drops of the vitamin E oil on top, then rub your palms together and apply. It does wonders for the skin.Bottom line is that it works great as a lotion, moisturizer, shave balm or skin softener. Very natural and light on the skin without feeling greasy or goopy. I highly recommend it, and given the quality, the price is VERY reasonable.

Nice light ocean/salty scent, and no oily feel. This is my second order. Would be 5 stars, but was packaged in envelope with no padding and lids popped off and leaked in the bag.

Aftershave lotion has a nice texture and a light scent. Works well for me.

Bought this for my son who just started shaving and he loves it. Reports it makes his skin feel much better.

I used to get the JASON calming anti-razor burn lotion with calendula. Amazon used to sell the calenula one in the 8 oz for $3.75 as an add-on item. Haven't seen any Amazon add-on items in a long time, wish they still did that. the anti-razor burn version jumped up to $15, then disappeared entirely. I found this and decided to try it. I like it, not as much as the anti-razor burn location but its nice, a little thinner, spreads better but the bottle wont last as long (thinner and half the size). The calendula version went on heavier and it made me want to spread it over my whole face and forehead. this one doesn't/hasn't inspired me to do that....still looking, but still a nice product at a reasonable post pandemic price...when I was a kid it only cost a nickle.

Pros: Not watery, not too thick, not strong smelling, price.Cons: Cap wouldn't stay on, could've been a little stronger scented.Good stuff imo.

It might have a nice design/packaging, but this lotion feels pointless. If you try to just use one or even two squirts, you'll cover maybe one cheek on your face let alone aftershave covering your neck and cheeks you'll need 5+ squirts to feel any real moisturizing - keep in mind, the bottle is small so I go through the whole thing in a couple weeks which = $. Compared to Olay face lotion which I would give 5/5 stars to, this product actually felt like it dried out my skin dissolving a half second after you apply it; versus Olay's face lotion you squeeze the bottle and about a big quarter sized amount covers my face and my neck and actually feels like it's moisturizing my face. Why did I write this review and be so harsh? Because I have been using this for the past few weeks and it's such a pricey worthless product that I felt I would let other dude's know. Don't fall for the packaging. lol
