Bought these for running. When the temp is below about 25-30 my fingers freeze until I've run for about 2 miles. After that I don't need anything, but I really could use some heat when I'm getting started. These fit the bill. Stick them in your mittens or gloves and hold them in a loose fist - they'll keep your fingers warm until you no longer need them. Best part is you can stick them in a pocket when your hands warm up. When your run is done and your hands start cooling down again, just put them back in your gloves. They'll still be warm, probably even if you ran a marathon.

Got these for when I worked at Universal and we would have these crazy random Florida cold days. I worked outside and it would start getting pretty chilly on the fingers. It was really great to be able to shove one of these in my pocket or my glove. We would use ipads, which wouldn't pick up touch if your fingers were too cold, and keeping my fingers warm on that front saved a lot of frustration!

I work outsided at an airport. It's only 3 hours a night 5 days a week. In the winter it gets pretty cold even if I'm only outside for 3 hours. I've tried putting the hand warmers inside my gloves against my skin and they're just too hot. So I hold them in my hand on the outside of my glove and they keep my hands warm when I have to use my hands I put the warmers in my pocket take them back out when I'm done.

I've been skiing for 33 years and just discovered this product. These hand warmers really have about an 8-hour life. Just open package a put each one either in your glove pouch so designed, or put them between shell and inner liner. Directions warn against placing them directly against bare skin. TIP: A friend of mine advised that when he skis about 4 hours or less, he puts these warmers into a Ziploc bag, pushes air out of the bag, and seals them up for another 4 hours use the next time. Store them in a cool, dry place, or leave them in your car. Highly recommend this product.

Careful! These are hot! While its nice to have something warm on a winter day, my wife put these into her jean pockets for the ride home and was actually burned on her thigh and butt! Like a frog in a warming pot, she never noticed it was too hot until she dropped her pants showing a bright red mark in both spots. The good news is we have had no problem with burning our hands as the skin is much thicker.
