Have fun sounding awesome cause that album is full of good riffs
Bought this as homework. Learning the rhythm parts. There some wrong tabs here and there but it's super easy to figure out. Example.. in seek and destroy it says to play the 5th fret power to the 7th fret power cord when really it's so easy to hear in the actual song you SLIDE from the 3rd to the 5th fret. You won't be lost. Just listen and if it doesn't sound right go a fret or two up or down. There aren't many mistakes. Still gets 5 stars. Don't complain.. no one's perfect and figuring it out is easy and helps you in many ways

A must have
Got it as used but was like new other than it didn't have plastic wrap on it. Glad I saved about $10 getting it

sections broken down, easy to use
if ur a metallica fan n u love playing their music, the tablature is a must. we might be able to pick up the major stuff by ear but they have a lot of add-bits and thats when i go to my metallica tablature set. translations correct. large writing so u can see from a distance. excellent addition to my extensively used sheet music collection.

Play It Like It Is from Cherry Lane
I started playing in a Metallica tribute band, and needed to learn 40 Metallica songs FAST!! I did not have time to learn it all by ear ,including the solo's, so I splurged and bought almost every Cherry Lane, "play it like it is" Metallica book out there. This company has been releasing these books for over 20 years and the transcriptions are always 98-100% spot on!!!! You will never be disappointing or playing the wrong notes from the songs this company transcribes. They also transcribe for most of the monthly guitar magazine publications in the world, so that should speak for itself!

The best commercially available...
Bass books haven't always been kind to me... bought this one to replace one I sold once upon a time. Transcriptions are as good as what's out there. Are they 100%??? Well, let's say close enough... or very very close...

AWESOME thrash metal music for guitar players.
Love this book! Tabs are accurate and as Metallica's first real album, I wanted to learn how to play some old school thrash metal. I found their first songs easier to learn then later more advanced music like Master of Puppets.

Read this is you are confused!
Why does one reviewer say this book is complete and great and another say it is crap?Because they are reviewing two different books and I am sure my review will appear in two different spaces also.Amazon links reviews for similar titles so be sure to look at the picture of the book you are ordering. In the lower right corner if you see "Note for Note transcipitions" ,that is the book you want.It includes all of and very accurute lead and rhy. figures. The book also includes the songs "Am I Evil?" and "Blitzkrieg" which are no longer included on the Kill'em All cd because of copywrite rules. The only drawback is that in order to get all the songs on 78 pages the transcriptions are a little on the small side, but it is a great book overall.

A must have for the metal bassist.
This is a great book for beginners as well as intermediate players wanting to at least have an idea of the basslines to this classic album. The baselines aren't perfect but they do a solid job of giving the general idea of how the song is played.
