Key Fob Keyless Entry Remote Flip Shell Case & Pad fits Mercedes

My OEM Mercedes key fob was really showing its age, so this was a great fix. I moved the key and electronics to this new shell, and it looks so much better! I had a little trouble with the button that came with the new shell - it didn't seem to align perfectly with my key so I ended up reusing my old button, but no big deal.Here's a tip: Don't forget to move your transponder to the new shell or else the car won't start. Note that the transponder is a separate component from the circuit board and it's easy to miss. It's a tiny black box inside the shell near the base of the metal key.Also, this shell doesn't include the Mercedes logo, so I ordered that separately as a nice finishing touch. It hasn't arrived yet so my photos are without it.

$500 from Mercedes or $13 on Amazon. Not a hard choice. As was mentioned by another don’t forget the rfid chip under the red plastic. This case works like a charm and worth every penny.

Item was poor quality. Fail apart when I open it.

These things are junk, they fall apart, they don't stop closed correctly.There isn't much else for options so you are stuck with it anyway if you need something quick when the most recent one you purchased falls apart and you lose all the pieces.
