This was the second zipper repair option I tried. The first would have worked, but zipper in question appears to have fallen between available sizes, so I had to return. FixnZip worked perfectly! Instructions are inside the package, super easy to follow. The only thing I would note is that after tightening down the screw on the first side of the zipper (before trying to zip up), I had to loosen the screw a bit more than the 1/4 turn indicated in the instructions. I think it may be because my zipper is plastic, and the pins on the bottom of the zipper (that fit into the slider to zip) are quite bulky...more so than the teeth. Depending on the type of zipper you have you might have to play with it a bit to find the right tightness between being secure on your zipper and loose enough to zip if you have a similarly constructed zipper. I also think that I will remove the zipper before washing - I anticipate that it could come loose or fall off with agitation/tumbling, and it's so fast and easy to put on that it's worth the extra step. I don't look at any of this as detractors - I'm very happy with my purchase! Good quality product, easy to use and I'm glad to have my favorite hoodie back to its former self!

This fixed my brand new suitcase when the inside zipper failed.I originally bought the “large” size to fix my 27” suitcase and I couldn’t get it to work. I reached out to the vendor. Not only did they send me the medium size at no additional cost, but they also sent a video link of instructions and offered their assistance if there was any further difficulty. The medium size worked and my suitcase is fixed! Going forward, I think I’ll buy a couple extra to have in case of suitcase failure.If you’ve ever been on a trip, especially internationally, and had a suitcase fail like I have, you know it would be a lifesaver!Amazing customer service! I bought the FixNZip multi-size pack because I needed to repair the zipper on a leather jacket in which I had the liner replaced. The furrier said that they would have to replace the entire zipper, which would have nearly doubled the cost (over $200, and I provided the material). Since only the slider was broken, I decided to try to find a way to repair it myself. I found the FixNZip on Amazon, and it seemed to be the best choice. I was disappointed to find that I could not get it to work, even after downloading the instructions AND watching the video. I started to pack it up for return, when I read a note affixed to the package asking that I contact them first before returning. I decided to give them a chance. I called the customer service number and left a message. Ray, the owner, got back to me in less than 15 minutes. At his request, I sent him some photos of the zipper. While I waited, I tried to install it once again, trying both the medium and large size. I got the large to work, but only the upper part of the zipper closed while the lower did not. Ray sent me a text suggesting that it needed lubrication, and included a list of recommendations. I tried candle wax, and after fiddling with the thumbscrew, I got it to work. His suggestion never would have occurred to me. I am very happy with a "new" zipper on my newly restored 25-year-old jacket. It is a little rough-working at first, but it seems to have smoothed out with use. I am sure the candle wax has been a factor. While the thumbscrew makes it a little bulkier than I would like, I appreciate having the ability to adjust the tension, something I will be doing a lot of in the near term. My only concern is that the zipper tab is not as robust as the original. Time will tell how durable it really is. Overall, I would recommend this product. And, please, take advantage of their customer service.

Worked perfectly for my situation. I have a higher end leather bag that I uses daily and after many years the zipper teeth would not remain shut. I purchased this product and it works very well. The zipper remains shut. Installation was a breeze. The zipper itself is a bit tough to pull open and closes but I’m hearing that there are ways to lubricate the teeth to help with that. Lastly, the product itself seems very durable and it appears that it will last for many years. I can recommend this product.

Had a hard time engaging teeth initially. After years of pounding in washer/dryer, the metal part that holds the pull part gave out. This item is the metal and pull. Highly recommend!
