In-feakin'-credible for breast and side stroke kicks!!! THE ONE fin set to own!
UPDATE-Amazing feedback for optimal "slicing" position of feet. LOVE them as that side to side "flutter" went away after 3 weeks of use so that likely means that my "stabilizing muscles" that hadn't been activated got activated and adapted/grew. I now would like to assert that these aren't "specialty" fins but are the only fins one needs for competitive swim training.WOW! works VASTLY better than hoped for breast stroke and side stroke (I am an old school Lifeguard; and will always keep up my side stroke performance) kicks!!! TRULY optimized for these kicks. On scissors kick, I did notice a side to side "flutter" or "shudder", not performance robbing; and I actually believe that ones tiny leg "stabilizing" muscles will get developed to counter act this motion. So, SUPER for breast stroke kick; and good, but not optimized for, scissors kick. I wear a 13 shoe and the XLs are a perfect fit!

Love these fins!
I cannot say how much I love these fins! They are hard to get on at first, do put them on in the water, but they are worth it.After breaking my ankle and arthritis setting in I had to take up swimming seriously as the only exercise I can do aerobically. (I watch YouTube tutorials for proper technique for more efficient swimming. ) I could never get the proper propulsion to exercise my legs. These fins not only help the foot to propel properly they give added weight, as I guess any fin would, to help exercise the legs. The compact size, comparatively speaking, and in the zipper bag, makes them easier to carry to the pool too. (I did not use these until about 18 months after the ankle break; I would not advise for that therapy.)I ordered by my shoe size, being a US women’s 9 1/2B I ordered the size down as instructed. They are tight but not too long; if I’d gotten bigger they might have been too long to be effective but will not fit a wide or puffy foot. As it is, they function perfectly. After the first use they are much easier to put on and the stretchy straps help there (I tap the ‘toe’ against the pool wall to push them on) though still struggle to remove—they have an odd suction effect like a snorkeling mask, kind of funny actually. But I love them, use them for about 40 minutes of my hour swim (for breast, back, and side strokes after a 20 minute crawl without them.) I keep them on for added resistance during the post swim stretch too doing ankle, leg, and hip circles. Highly recommend for new swimmers.

Be careful of blisters
I wore them today while swimming for an hour. I felt some pressure points in certain areas at first. I took them off, readjusted, and didn't feel any more rubbing. The fins didn't feel too big or cumbersome, but it was a little hard to tell compared to the other kinds of fins. They are heavier than the silicone brand of flippers, that's for sure, but not too heavy, surprisedly. Easy to slip on and off in water and on dry ground. Plus, they are comfortable. I love being able to move my ankle freely. On the performance aspect of the fins. It's hard to describe how the fins adjusted my body for the correct posture. I tried to give in to it and just go with it. My body was resisting, unsure how to kick with these new sets of fins. After the first five laps, it felt great doing the crawl. My kick felt stronger and more efficient.During the backstroke, it was way more easier, and less energy was being expelled.I did a few kick sessions, and the dolphin kick was cumbersome but still needs some practice. The one kick I had some trouble with that couldn't be corrected this session was the breaststroke kick. It's like my body forgot how to do it with the fins. But I'll definitely get it next session.I'll wear my swim socks with them to prevent any more blisters. They fit right over them. My shoe size is 9.5 women, and I bought XL as instructed and suggested by others.

Not designed for propulsion but more for proper motion
My shoe sizes are about 11-12 US, so I had to get the largest Positive Drive Fins, which fit perfectly. The rear ankle strap is soft and comfortable to use for an entire swim session. I don't even have to wear socks to prevent chaffing. The idea behind these fins is that they're not designed to provide extra propulsion. They are intended to correct your feet position and allow for proper motion in the water. I'm a runner and cyclist, and only started swimming last year at over the age of 30 - so I have a lot of things going against me when I'm in the water. It took me awhile to finally get the hang of swimming, but my feet are constantly dragging me and my kicks have zero propulsion when using a kickboard. With these fins, I can use a kickboard and move at a decent pace - not as fast as a larger fin but moving (versus not moving, or going backwards with bare feet). I can feel the fins tugging at my ankles and my feet kind of point inwards like all of the photos and tutorials for swimming.I feel it will take some time to use these fins to correct my feet/ankles, but at least I can see and feel the difference.
