API Testing and Development with Postman: A practical guide to creating, testing, and managing APIs for automated software testing

I have been programming for 30 years, the last six of which were building mobile apps. When I switched to creating APIs, Postman became an essential tool, and this an essential guide to getting the most out of it.The writing is clear, the examples are useful and overall this book is an essential guide to testing and development. Highly recommended.

If you wanna get cookin' with Postman, I recommend this book big time. The author does a real good job explainin' things in a nice friendly way. He keeps it practical with lots of examples ya can code along with. I went from zero to API hero following the hands-on projects. It gets ya building real quick so you can start developing and testin' APIs like a pro. It's the bees knees!

The content is really comprehensive in nature, covers in and out of the API world. Really loved how the book covers every bit of the API world and organized it properly, I really loved the content. The author has adopted an academic narrative style which sometime makes it feel like too much information for someone who is working in a fast-paced environment, but for someone starting their API journey, this book is a gem.

I often buy books for self-development and for teaching new skills. I work as a QA Engineer and I need to constantly update my technical knowledge in this area.I know all the publishers who produce quality literature for IT specialists and among them, the "Packt" books are always favorably distinguished. I recently acquired the book “API Testing and Development with Postman” to prepare for an interview for the API Test Engineer position. It turned out to be so useful that I still use it after successfully completing a technical interview.The book describes in detail and concisely the theory of API, the principles of API design, and discusses in detail how to work with the Postman and Newman tools both for testing the API and for developing the API. The book is simply excellent in its format, presentation approach, and technical details. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to brush up on their knowledge both in the API and with the Postman tool.

I found this book quite interesting because explains in plain English the process of development and test of an API using tons of images and describing each step in detail, that is something that I really liked because sometimes I get lost in a simple step and I had to waste time looking for that info.

Glad I received this book. So far I can't understand every part of the book since I'm still mastering manual testing but my next school I'm starting we will dive deep into it so I'm very happy I have very detailed book and many great examples, it's life changer. Thank you
