This is the best one. It’s simple and effective and everyone should have one. Gently and effectively loosens congestion so it can move out away from you and keeps airways moist so they don’t dry out and get irritated. Wake up with a sore throat? One or two container full of breathing this will get rid of almost all the pain. Just watch some Amazon prime or Netflix or funny cat videos while you breathe in the steam. Wish I could buy everyone one

steam inhalation works as described. I find it difficult to find a comfortable place to use it.

I suffer from something called Tracheal Stenosis. My airway has scar tissue, and so it "shrinks" over time. If you have a normal airway, mucus moves up and down without trouble. Mine gets "stuck" on the scar tissue. This little steamer is the best solution for this malady. You can't beat the price for what it does. This is my second one, the reason why is the first note below.FIRST!!! Only use distilled water! I didn't with my first unit, so the minerals in the tap water bonded to the heating element, which eventually made it less able to boil the water.SECOND!! DO NOT STICK YOUR FACE ALL THE WAY IN THE UNIT! Just hover over it, at a level that gets you plenty of steam without burning your nose or face. I place my unit on a couple of thick books on my desk. I'm breathing over it right now as I type this review.When my son gets stopped up in the winter, I let him breath over it for 10-15 minutes. It feels so good getting that moisture in your nose and throat and lungs. If you ever feel like you can't "clear your chest", just breath over this thing for 10-15 minutes. It'll loosen up any congestion you have. Any steam humidifier will do the same, of course. But this one is small enough to have on my desk at school. Half a cup of distilled water will fill it, and you get steam for about 15 min or so.

Just when I think I'm about to get a sinus infection from dry air, pollens and dust, I'll put on the steamer and breath into it for two hours while I watch tv at night. I also suck on a Cold Ease at the same time. The next day, all symptoms are gone. It really is a fantastic little machine.

I am a vocalist and I love this for early morning warm-ups! Also helps loosen drainage. This does exactly what you need it to do. Does not hold a ton of water but it hold enough.

I’ve had 3 of these over 10 years. The steam flow is good but this product cracks within a year or two of casual use. I’ll never buy another one.

I just tried it today. It works well. Better than boiling water in a pan with towel over head.
