Hubs was happy and must have been easy to install because there were zero colorful words.

I used this for a bathroom exhaust vent that we vented through our soffit. Worked perfect. We also purchased two 4" vent covers for the same purpose and they worked great as well. Our home does not have a vented soffit, FYI, as venting through a vented soffit is not always advised.

The fins used for holding the vent in place are made assuming your soffit is not 110 years old. I ended up cutting the fins off and using a few short screws to secure the vent. Works great, looks good. No complaints.

looking at other reviews where people have had issues getting the parts separated. do go easy on prying them apart, the plastic is stiff could crack or break. but here's how I got it to one apart.1. taking a butter knife blunt side down in-between the black part and the cover (back side of course) 2. firmly twisting the knife outwards 3. then with the other hand spinning it around like a steering wheel working the two parts away from each other. once separated to get the screen out I used the but end of the knife to tap it the screen from the front side through the louvers. now I can only imagine how tight or stuck it all will be once in full use, with dust and everything else building up on it. so far great quality, we shall see how it holds up for a year then I'll update this

This vent was perfect for my generator cabinet to let in fresh air.

This is a very nice round in air intake or exhaust cover grill for a 6 inch hose line. Be aware that the depth of the flange is only a few inches and therefore does not go all the way through a standard 4" studded wall. You will need to use some sort of additional hose inside your wall to connect to this cover. One negative is that it has no way to secure the exterior portion to the outside wall. You will need to plan to use either some form of adhesive or screw through the plastic on the outside. I ended up using double-sided tape. These minor issues are easily overcome, and the listing makes no claims otherwise, so I am giving this 5 stars.

A little thin in some areas, but over all it does the job it's made for well.Waiting to see how the sun treats it. Feels like the type of plastic that gets hard and warped in the sun, and cracks to pieces in the winter.
