Works with Linux
Surprisingly effective for the price, and easily portable. I lent it to a colleague, who then asked me where the rest of it was :) Not actually variable zoom, but can focus from infinity down to a couple of centimeters. Good video quality. The LED illumination control is a manual dial.Works with Linux circa 6.11 (Debian 12) out of the box, without special drivers. The only quirk I encountered is a limited set of supported color encodings, which some video player software does not handle well. I found instructions for forcing MJPEG mode worked. For example with MPV:mpv --demuxer-lavf-format=video4linux2 --demuxer-lavf-o-set=input_format=mjpeg av://v4l2:/dev/video31

The camera/microscope works really well. Easy to use and great results.
The installation of the software triggered multiple warnings about malware. The manual said it's totally safe, but I still felt uneasy with granting how how? How coming the street beside I must immediately taken by applying accepting there. IWould be better if they resolve that issue. We're doing a series of food pop out connection. Sm6WTF, what is that?

A very well made electronic microscope for PC and Android.
I was looking for a cheap electronic microscope and read several reviews of what's out there and settled on this particular brand because I did not find any really negative things said about it. It was all metal, waterproof, has the ability to focus and magnify easily, had a metal stand and can connect to both PC and Android. It was also very inexpensive so I bit.For the extremely low price I paid, it's an excellent device and I'm glad I bought it. The image is way better than I expected and the addition of LED lighting means I never have to worry about setting up lights around the object I'm magnifying. The stand is metal but ever so slightly lighter than it should be so I do have to be careful about the camera tipping over now and then but that's a user training issue, not necessarily a product flaw. And you can use it as a webcam since it is, after all, a camera. One thing it's missing and something you have to take note of is that there's no bump or nub on the long straw-like camera tube so that you immediately know which way "UP" is so you do have to rotate the camera every time you use it to orient it so I put a small segment of painters tape (a thin blue sliver) on the end of the camera to know how to orient it properly. Otherwise, it's not really that big of an issue.I'm very impressed with this camera/microscope and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for such a device.

Works well for the price
I like it a lot for the price point. Hard to adjust while in the lightweight bracket without it moving and the bracket could stand to be a little bit larger, possibly a telescopic section but it is worth the price point. I gave it 5 stars because it met the expectations. Let's face it, if you want a $1500 digital microscope then buy one! If you want something fun to allow you to really get in there and see up close and you don't want to break the bank ... this might be for you :)

Camera works fine but software is not worth it
Good for stationary use. Not good to hold by hand. Gimmick is in the software.I installed a Teslong camera software to connect it to the phone. Anyhow, the software let's you use a lower setting resolution (670). To use an HD resolution you have to upgrade. Price is fare ($8.70). However, the app doesn't let you use the 'non paid' for long before it wants you to upgrade.Messages to upgrade become persistent with each use and it doesn't let you use the software freely because of the upgrade reminder.I considered buying the upgrade but reviews aren't good. I'm uninstalling the app again, this time permanently, and plan to mail back the camera for a refund. I'd keep it if the phone could use it, but since the software is needed I have no alternative except to return it.I think I might buy a hand held single eye piece type of magnifier, instead.

Fun little gadget and easy to use.
This little microscope is a lot of fun and does what is says it will do. While it would not connect to my Android phone, it would connect to my Android tablet and my laptop. When connecting to a Android USB port, you have to make sure your device is capable of powering peripheral devices, and do use the app suggested by the seller to make sure your device's hardware is compatible. The focus levels work so that you can practically touch something and still focus on it, or you can point it across the room and focus on something down the hallway, which means the device also could work as a standard video camera, but this is not advised as it was not really intended for that use (just saying it could work that way). The provided base/stand works great as you can set it up and easily slide things underneath the sense to begin viewing something. Then depending on what software you are using you can capture both video or photos. My package also included a USB-C adapter as well. While I do not need that (yet), it was nice to see one included.
